    We will be spending the week of 6/15-6/22 in Miami for the first leg of our honeymoon before heading to St Croix for a week. I got great recommendations from the southern california group for a recent trip to Laguna and I was hopeful that people could provide recommendations for some great places in town.

    My fiancé is a chef so we are always very interested in getting recommendations for great local dinning. I would love to take her to an amazing dinner our first night in town but we also plan to explore the city for lunches and dinners so any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

    I've been to Miami several times but the trips were always brief so I haven't had much of a chance to explore. We are into art, parks, nightlife, shopping, and all around exploring.

    For the car lover in me, I am hopeful to enjoy some all around car spotting while in town. Any recommendations for places to spot? Also, we enjoyed to cars and coffee in Irvine immensely; do they do any cars and coffee type events in the Miami area that would be recommended? Finally, are there any dealerships in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area that would be highly recommended. Perhaps after the wedding and some mojitos, she'll let me buy something for me:)

    So many great restaurants in Miami, but one has been around for over 21 years, and to this day, it is the place for not only locals, but anyone famous and infamous visiting Miami.

    This is the place that Senna would come every time he landed in Miami on his way to the locations of grands prix.

    Caffee Abbracci, in Coral Gables (305.441.0700). Last week, Boccelli (Andrea)and Estefan (Gloria) ordered take out during their recording sessions. McCartney goes their because as a vegan, he can get great food. I got married in Abbracci, the owner was my best man.

    If you go, you let me know, I will call the staff ahead of time.

    As for car spotting, The Collection, an authorized Ferrari dealership is less than 10 minutes away from Abbracci. drive another 45 minutes, and you will enjoy Ferrari Maserati of Ft. Lauderdale.

    Miami is great for Bachelor parties too ;)

    As for restaurants check out Puerto Madero & Oceanaire in Brickell

    Baires in Miami Beach is very good too. MB is full of great restaurants

    NO WAY, You must go to Joe's Stone Crabs in south beach. It is a Miami Landmark...... Also Prme 112 for steak and celebrity watching.... Also in South Beach.....

    As it is a honeymoon I am thinking about an Italian
    Restaurant the Cipriani like in Venice. Not cheap but romantic
    Cipriani

    For honeymoon as well I will recommend a nice French restaurant
    Bâoli Miami ask for a table in the garden and do not arrive before 8pm
    Or you will miss the ambiance starting around 10

    I just wanted to give this post one last bump with the wedding and honeymoon two weeks out. We've extended our stay to two weeks. With a week at a condo in the Icon building and a week on the ocean. I've added many of the recommendations to our list and look forward to trying them.

    Are there any cars and coffee events in the Miami or Lauderdale area? Any last recommendations are greatly appreciated!
