I don´t know how many Ferraris they sell in Romania, but I find quite unveliable that a dealer has enough cash to set a F1 team.

Rumanian wealth distribution is worse than Brazil. 1% have everything and 99% nothing

    I guess.....

    +1

I find the whole story a little unbelievable TBH - For example, I thought (but could be wrong again!) the FIA announced when an entry was accepted, & there's nothing on their site. (Maybe they just take the entry fee and say "cheers!"?)

He's (supposedly) starting from ground zero, in Munich (maybe Florian will go there! ;)) and expects to make the grid in a few months? Even Haas sees that can't possibly happen, and he's got a facility, some knowledge of the sport & at least a little credibility.

I give these guys somewhere between zero and none chance of making Melbourne next season. A (unconfirmed as far as I can tell) pipe dream.

Having said that, I'm with Bas; the more the merrier.

    Cheers,
    Ian

The article says that the Munich facility belongs to Colin Kolles. Never heard of it.

Anyone recall where HRT were based? I know he was their team principal for a while, and his split with them wasn't very 'tasteful' - didn't he basically throw them out of wherever it was they were playing from? Could have been 'his' place in Munich I guess.....

Florian, looking for a nice, solid, reliable guy to work for?... This could be your opportunity! ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Not that I've seen. Nothing on Bernie's or the FIA's sites as yet anyway either.

    Cheers,

Apparently Kolles has a racing team based in Greding, which is in Middle Franconia and not near Munich, but that's a distinction I guess the international media is not aware of

So this is going to be a German team, Italian name and Romanian backup? If for the Haas
team was hard to conceive to be ready for racing in 2015, this must be the biggest
unknown to get this team ready, with what it seems no links other than Ferrari.
Are they going with Dallara as well? Maybe they'll steal the whole idea from Haas:
    Ferrari unit/power train, Dallara Chassis.

Maybe they'll buy an existing team...

    Why all the negativity?

They have a base in Germany and with Kolles a guy who knows how to run a F1 team. I suspect they will get Ferrari engines.
The Rumanian government is also backing this, so money won't be an issue.

The FIA spent 6 weeks checking the background and gave the team a green light so maybe some on here should respect that?

True. But there usually aren't so many vying for that honor.

I prefer back markers over 3 cars for the front runners.

It's not negativity, it's incredibility. I know the money is there, but this time, time isn't
there. Last time the three new teams (Virgin, Catheram, HRT) entered had what,
one and half years to prepare, design, testing and have cars ready for racing? This time
is basically half a year. That doesn't sound realistic and Haas probably has come to that
    realisation.

If it was 2016 then I would probably understand it and look forward how they would do.
I like new teams actually. They bring fresh air. Sorry, it my post was on the gloomy side,
but I just don't see how they would have the cars ready for Melbourne.

My comment was based on what we've heard from them and that's not much and we are
    in June already.
