Tom, i was thinking the same thing. The pods are up but the lights aren't on. The only other person I know that drives in daylight with pods up, is Mike (soucorp). What I don't understand is why the headlights aren't on. With my t, if I turn the headlight switch on, the pods go up and the lights are on. Does the 3.2 switch have two separate functions (positions)? I never even tried to raise the pods without turning on the lights. But I guess I won't gripe too much about it. :):)

    Cheers,

    Hank

What makes you think they're not on? Unless there's a different shot that I'm not seeing, I believe I see a yellow reflection. ?

    Hi Ted,

Well, you could be right - and they could be on in that photo. But most certainly, we have seen " full frontal" shots of Mike's Robin with pods in full upright position, yet, not one glimmer of light from within ! :):)

    Cheers mate,

    Hank

    Thx guys!

I'm afraid a grey Ferrari is hard to see in your mirrors on any day. Often when I didn't turn on my lights people didn't see me quite good, i think because of the low nose.. I notice a big difference when I drive with my lights on. I hear other Ferrari people, with the same color, say the same thing. Imagine if my mondi was yellow or red in the below pics :D

And I like it :) I like to look at my pods when I am driving. This way I see at least something ot the outside of my mondi!

I was even thing of printing it on canvas perhaps! :D

Same as the T. They are ignited alright! ;) It's the sun that day facing the front. With a close up you see a difference :)

Ps I have yellow reflectors in my flashing lights. Put on a French nose (they are not turned on)

I've been driving with my headlights on, night and day, rain or shine, with all of my vehicles for the past several years. Since then I haven't had anyone pull out in front of me from side streets. So far, so good.

Except for the Mondial, but sometimes will turn them on in areas that I sense are necessary. However, one of my future projects is to convert the flash-to-pass lights into daytime running lights (DRLs).

Fortunately, my 348 has fog lights (separate switch) which I use as DRLs.

Hi Mikey, Looking closely, I believe I see a glimmer of illumination in your erected pods.
Am I seeing things - - are your lights actually on?? It's difficult to see in a photo that has to travel through a space I have no understanding of ..........

So - - pods up = lights on. Pods down = painted surface ............ duh:):)

Such fun, and yes baby, she's absolutely right as regards using it ........... :):)

This monday the Mondi accompanied me at work. After work I went back to technical control station so they could admire my new dipped beams.
The second time she was in the open. First time was stressfull (for driver), second time a lot more relaxing.
She runs like a dream, but everytime I step on the fun-pedal I can smell fuel, not a lot, but enough to be concerned. She keeps her cool in hot weather, so the cooling dept. is fine. Now waiting for my plates. It could take a month before I got them. In the meanwhile I can adress some oil leaks (shifter shaft and gear oil fill plug), and while i'm in there also the bushings for the shifter, tidying up the underside of car an changing gear&engine oil+filter.

It's pods up time! :D nice! I actually never drove with high beams yet.. even not in Italy. I'm carrying Philips extreme. It's like an illuminated contruction site in front of me!

    Congrats and not surprised. The
Car is simply flawless. Absolutely stunning and a window into how beautiful these cars were when new.
