A McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 are coming to the Raleigh area...their owners live here. It would be a momentous occasion if we could get all 3 together for a few hours.

If a LaFerrari is delivered to FCI, any chance I'd be able to go see it? The only one of the 288GTO/F40/F50/Enzo/LaFerrari line I've seen is an F40 (at RK Motors Charlotte). It would be great to see a LaFerrari in person!
Oh my god I think I would have a heart attack if I saw one of those! If it's true, I might be making a run over to FCI to check it out! I've met the soon to be owner of the P1...really nice guy, hope he enjoys it. Just wondering, is the 918 going to the guy who owns that yellow Carrera GT?
The first one (coupe)was this but now is traded in on another car. I had the opportunity to drive it and it was fast but not my style. Plus I just had knee surgery so pain in the a$$ to get in and out of it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yesterday I saw a black 2014 Audi RS7. Not exactly exotic, but it does have 560 horsepower so I thought it was worth a mention. Saw it on NC 50 in Garner (of all places to spot such a car) at about 2:50 yesterday afternoon. Today I saw the same silver 2005 Maserati Gransport Spyder I see a lot, parked on a side street off of Glenwood Ave. I think the owners live in one of the houses on that street.
Saw a dark grey F430 (with maybe a red stripe?) heading north on Rea at 485 today. I heard it and just got a glimpse in my rear view.
I recently met a gentleman who expects to have his LaFerrari delivered sometime next year to the Piedmont area. I also had the idea of putting him in touch with the P1 and 918 owners. I believe all three are FCA members, so it'd be nice to pull that off. Maybe I could bring my wife's Sonata and make it FOUR hybrids...
I had the opportunity to attend Lamborghini Carolina's unveiling of the new Gallardo replacement, the Huracan in Charlotte on Tuesday. At the NC Music Factory near where Cars n Coffee meets. Wow. Nice pics DCNSX! I think Lamborghini may be testing some Huracan models around California and Colorado, because there have been a couple spottings of them around both states. Still like your Gallardo better, because it was available with the manual. The E-Gear may be faster, but it sure doesn't give you the involvement that a true manual does.
I was in downtown Charlotte today to see Gumball 3000 and saw some amazing cars. I also saw several exotics around that weren't part of the rally. Some of my favorite Gumball 3000 cars: -McLaren P1 -McLaren 650s -McLaren 12C (there were several of these) -Ferrari 458 Italia Spider (there were at least four of these) -Ferrari F12 -Ferrari FF -Aston Martin DB9 -Weismann MF5 -SRT Viper Non Gumball 3000 sightings: -Red Audi R8 drove past the NASCAR Hall of Fame -Black Fisker Karma drove past the NASCAR Hall of Fame -Four Nissan GT-Rs drove past the Hall of Fame (3 black, 1 white) -White Audi R8 on Brevard Street -Silver Bentley Continental GTC on Brevard Street -All white Audi R8 on Sharon Road in front of SouthPark Mall
Yes, we're going to do that. I'm getting the P1 and I've already talked to the future owners of the other two cars. Our plan is to rent VIR so we can drive each other's cars for comparison. I drove a 918 last week and it was great fun. I'm going to drive the P1 in the UK next week on the Top Gear track! So excited to drive it!
Some say he isnt machine washable, and all his potted plants are called Steve. All we know is hes called the Stig!
How cool is that?! As a general rule I avoid jealousy in my life. But this time I have to make an exception Enjoy!!! My blood runs Rosso Corsa but there's something about the P1 that really does it for me. Glad to hear your P1 will be driven and not just locked away.
Haha, well I hope you enjoy the experience! I sure hope I'll get to see your P1 some day....that would be something I wouldn't ever forget!!! (Not that I forget any of the rare cars I see as it is )
