I wanted to ask if a car was delivered without a radio would the antenna have been installed at the factory or if not the hole have been drilled on the rear fender?

    Thanks,

    Dario

My car never had a radio and is unrestored, Dario. It has no antenna hole.

    Dario,

It isn't that simple. Some Dino's came with an antenna even if there wasn't a radio.

Depending on he market delivered and year can also matter. Some Dino's had antenna's on the roof.

OK now this is getting confusing.

So my car has had No radio installed to my knowledge. The face plate mouse hair matches the rest of the dash perfectly. But I have a big hole in the rear with a machined Plug (obviously not original) Could it be I had an antenna and it was removed?

Most Euro cars had a radio.

However, there is no definitive guide, other than factory documents.

There is a good chance the car could have been delivered from the factory without a radio, but with the antenna, hence the blank out plate and the hole you now have. The radio's were an easy "dealer" item to install. Your car could have had it installed at the dealer or simply have had the antenna removed at some point. I doubt your car would have had a blank out plate (unless added after - which doesn't make sense) if delivered with a radio.

    Dario,

After just looking at the thread when you bought your Dino, the area for the "plug" looks correct.

The blank out looks correct also.

There is generally a toggle switch to raise/lower the antenna. Does you car have this toggle switch? Most are found on the left hand side of the steering wheel.

You will also notice in the same thread the UK car with the antenna in the roof.
