    Hey guys,

I was given this collectible by a family friend, and I would like to know which model it may have came from? The piston is extremely light and resembles an F1 piston I saw photos of, but I can't be sure. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Also, it's for sale.

The top appears to show five valves which suggests 355 but the date is more-or-less too early - you could measure the diameter to cross-check : 85 mm

Formula One engine not a production engine.

Here you go: http://www.f1technical.net/f1db/cars/766/ferrari-412t2, but March 7, 1994 date does not make sense as 1994 engine was 4 valve as was 1993 engine. Only 1995 engine, the last v12, was 5 valves.

Wow thanks for the info! Is it possible they gave Greg the piston prior to the 5 valve V12 going into racing? Or is that very unlikely?

Also could be from an F50 ? But, does look more F-1 like in the fine detailing and extremely short crown / skirt lengths.

OP ---- Schedoni is still in business, IIRC......you could call them up / email they should be able to tell you exactly what the deal is ?

How much does something like this usually sell for?

I also have a 5 valve piston / connecting rod from F1 V12 1992 with a little history and signed COA. It was presented to one of the original members of Whitesnake by Luca Di Montezemolo.

Pic separate from the display case.

No I apologise, I was wrong. Atleast 1992 and for some of the 93 races they ran 5 valves per cylinder. Sorry

Good to know. I have a few that I'll probably unload at some point.

... and that was from the Ferrari Store online - I collected it from the Ferrari Store opp the factory entrance to save on postage.
