    There has been much talk on the forum about current values of Dinos(and other top classic cars for that matter). The newspaper,in its annual assesment of wealth,reports that,even on the tiny island of the UK,there are more than one hundred billionaires...in short more and more very rich people in the world,and this trend will continue.There are a finite number,which will never change,of classics to invest in,so it is simple maths that the more people who are able and have a desire to own such cars,the value of desirable vehicles can only go one way.I would not be suprised to see the market values double in 2 - 3 years max.

    Well your logic is reasonable except it assumes that rich people all like classic cars --- Ferraris in particular.

    I have known many extremely wealthy folks over the years who couldn't give a fat rat's ass about Ferraris --- or any other "older" cars for that matter. They collect / invest in other classic things...... fine art pieces being the most prevalent.

    I know far more people who have masters paintings or sculptures in their houses ---- as opposed to classic cars in their garages.

    Well, this happened last year.

    As far as a billionaire bidding on a Dino....

    I don't know if his competition was also a billionaire, but he won.
