Any pics of no chrome grill?
I haven't seen any--mostly horizontal chrome. While not exactly the same, I think that there are numerous pics of F12 with black grill. I think most people did not purchase chrome. For Cali T, I'm liking the chrome, and would even consider full chrome (vertical supports chromed).
Yeah I'm between full chrome or non. I'm thinking non will give a sportier look (if I go with 20" diamonds and sport exhaust tips).
I too am trying to decide. What's not clear to me is whether the center vertical support on the full chrome is visible from top to bottom if you don't get the front camera...I think the red car has a camera that obscures the top of the center support (unless the center support just ends at the cavallino badge?). In any event the black gap makes it look a little off to me.
You have a good eye! I agree with you 100% about the front camera and the full chrome grill center vertical support looking a bit odd. I'm not getting front camera (only rear is my plan), so hoping center vertical support would be chrome where camera would otherwise be located. I think it would really look funny if it wasn't chrome and there was no camera. It is odd enough with the camera! If it is chrome to the top, and one wanted the full chrome, I think that would be reason enough not to order the front camera! (Maybe that is why not many pictures of full chrome?--I know that only horizontal chrome gives a wider, lower look--full chrome gives a more historic look in my opinion.)
Qwertstnbir, thanks for posting this video. I love the T in blue and it does sound very nice. Great looking design!
Brief, and mostly uninformative, first drive video review from The Sunday Times: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Vd_tcOeCvo]First drive: 2014 Ferrari California T - YouTube[/ame]
Agree completely on the low/wide vs. historic look...all depends the overall look you're going for. I'm passing on the front camera too. Going to NYC preview tomorrow...will try to get answers on the chrome grill support.
I was at the NYC preview tonight and they said the full chrome would run all the way up on the center vertical piece. If you have the camera option I assume it will cover part of it by being in front of it.
Thank you for the information. While either horizontal vs. full chrome is not better than the other in my opinion (just a different look), I'm leaning toward full chrome, without front camera. I think price difference between full chrome and horizontal chrome is minimal. Also thinking a red exterior color, probably metallic. Dealer has deposit from me, but I said that I wanted to wait until could order 2016 model, as I took delivery of new F12 in March. So I have some time to figure things out, and maybe Ferrari will offer a different wheel. Today I'd get the optional forged diamond finished wheel, but that is only by default.
I've ordered mine with the full chrome grill CFG2. Unfortunately there are no pictures of the grills in the catalogue. But now seeing the difference on the photos I strongly prefer the horizontal chrome grill CFG1. It makes the front look more elegant and the car a bit wider. I hope I can still make this change in my configuration. The car is due to be produced in early July I was told...
Is there an full option list online somewhere? My father (aged 75) is buying one and we are trying to decide on which blue to go for, its so hard to tell from photos. I'd always say TDF over beige but he thinks TDF may be too dark. Also trying to see which wheels are available.
No problem! If you look at last month's DuPont Registry there is the Cali T on the cover in Rosso Corsa (photoshopped presumably). That has the horizontal chrome which I am starting to like but think I could be happy with either. In that photo the black vertical pieces actually contrast in a nice way. What did you mean by diamond forged wheels by default? Those are the option wheel. Did you mean you like them the best out of the current possibilities? Keith
TDF is quite dark indeed. Maybe the new Blue California (the blue presentation color of this car). Or else the Azzurro California, which is a lighter blue, also suits the car very well I think. Or Blu Mirabeau, which is a bit darker.
Regarding grill, yes, either would be nice. I don't think I'd leave black, and if got full chrome, I certainly would not get front camera. Yes, regarding wheel, I dislike them the least! I like the polished forged wheel that I have on F12, and the diamond polished forged wheel on old Cali.

Great video, although in Italian, from Ruote in Pista. Nice footage including some donuts at the end! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhjnhZlNgHg]Ruote in Pista n. 2245 - Ferrari California T - del 09/06/2014 - YouTube[/ame]
Here's a running playlist I've been keeping of Cali T videos (reviews included): Ferrari California T - YouTube
Boy I truly love this car for what it is... I'm thinking they nailed it (at least from a visual sense) and perfected the existing Cali. Love the stream lined exterior, not so much going on, real classy, no bs. Interior needed not much fixing and they didn't. Thanks for posting video , helps on this rainy morning here in NY.
