I accepted a promotion a few months ago and we are in the process of moving from AZ to CO. My family stayed in AZ until the school year was done. So we are finally moving. The company would have paid for an enclosed hauler for the Ferrari but I decided to drive it. It made it to its new home with no issues.

You absolutely made the right choice to drive her rather than stuff her in a trailer and let some of the best roads slip away from you. I've done the drive from AZ to CO many times and there are some awesome open roads.

Congrats on the promotion and for your wise and hopefully enjoyable trip! Oh, and the car pics are great also.

    Congratulations on the promotion.

Great looking pics too, by the way.

I saw you taking that last shot I think. Was it just south of Castle Rock on I25 today?

Thanks guys, it was a fun run. Much better than worrying about a hauling company with my car.

Falcon Wing, yes, that was the location! Small world.

Too much saturation on the pics but all good everything else.

Ya, I might redo the lightroom. The saturation is the hardest part for me. I never know how much to add. The loss of definition when posting is aggravating too.

Cool. I spotted it from a mile away. ... Such a striking car in profile IMO. I was on my way to Ferrari of Denver too.

Okay, how fast were you able to get it to on those open roads?

Still like these cars no matter what my mechanic says.

Fantastic photos - both the car and scenery look awesome!!! You certainly made the right decision to drive it over. Pics like this are really firing my imagination to ship my 348 to the US for a coast to coast run sometime in the next year or so...

But a 45 mph limit in the middle of nowhere?????????????? Surely that should be 145 mph???

In Germany you get a ticket when driving 45mph.....for obstructing traffic :)
    Goodbye freedom!
Fantastic pictures, fantastic roads, beautiful pictures!

I'm no professional photographer but to my untrained eye these pictures look phenomenal. I wish I had some of my car that good.

Congrats on the promotion, always good to move up. Great pictures, pretty country in CO. As a recent expatriate from AZ I think your timing is spot on, out of the heat of the summer (I know, it's a dry heat but heat non the less). :)

I didn't get over 100mph on the trip and only took it that fast because someone was trying to take pictures and crowding me on the interstate.
I'd love to take a cross country tour in the 348, especially with a few others. I've driven across many times but only once in anything special. In 2001 I drove a 56 Crown Victoria across. Very memorable drive.
This IS the right time to leave AZ but I'm having some difficulty breathing at this altitude. I get winded easy here.
I don't know why but I'm much less excited to drive to PHX today in my Ford Fusion than I was the last couple of days driving to DEN in the Ferrari!

Hey Larry, wondered why we hadn't seen you around at the FCA Desert Region events lately..! Glad to see the gear box fix went well, the car certainly looks awesome.
Congrats on the promotion. See you on the road some day.

    Hi Stephen,

I was hoping to make another event before taking the car to CO but it just never worked out. The gearbox works wonderfully now. I'm still surprised when I shift it and it doesn't fight me. Thanks for the good words!

When I bought my first Ferrari, '83 308 GTS QV, I drove it from Phoenix to Denver over a Saturday and Sunday. The Sunday drive from Albuquerque to Denver was great because there was no one on the roads until about Colorado Springs. Very memorable drive. :)

Larry, do some of our Rocky Mountain region FCA events. You would fit right in. We have a lot of 348s, too.
