Did you happen to get a photo of the paint tag on either of the two Anthracite PTS 930s?

Hey buddy, no, I didn't get the paint codes on those anthracite cars.. My guess they probably would've been different..It would've been good to know.

    .
Although there were no Factory 934's produced in 1978 or 1979, the Porsche Factory did continue manufacture of 935's in both 1978 and 1979 under the 930 serial sequence.

Here is a picture from Porsche Classic of Dick Barbour Racing's 935 serial #9308900033 at the 1978 24 Hours of Daytona. While this car sustained some pretty substantial damage, it finished in 2nd place.

Very cool...is the "Key to Carefree Driving" booklet unique to the 930 Turbo?

    Ed,
From what I recall you have an early NA 1979 930 having a 150 MPH Speedometer. I have never seen the MPH to KPH conversion charts you have. Was your NA '79 delivered through a Canadian Dealer?

Two pieces I am not familiar with are the Black with red and gold stripe "Porsche Service" and Orange "Key to Carefree Driving" booklets or folders. Can you supply more pictures or info.

The balance looks normal for what would have been supplied for a 930 in 1979 during Dealer delivery.

It sounds like the "Key to Carefree Driving" was provided to folks from the US that picked up their car at the factory. It showed European traffic signs, etc. to let you know what they were. Presumably this was also the reason for the conversion decals so the new customer could determine their speeds while in Europe.

My '79 930 also has the same Key Tag but it came with 3 Keys, A Red Hollow-head Valet Key like the one shown, a Black Main lighted Key like the one shown and also a Black Hollow-head Main Key.
Were the '79 930's delivered at the Dealer with 2 or 3 Keys?

I thought it was interesting when I found the Book for my 1979 930 was stamped delivered with 32 miles. I thought that seemed high but after seeing your car had 31 miles I guess that was normal.
Seems like Porsche really checked these cars out before delivery!

Once again, for all that originality, and price tag, incorrect radio!

I know there are more than a few owners of early 3.3 930's looking for Snorkel Washer Jets. Dr. Georg Konradsheim in Austria is selling reproductions but if you want to see what a NOS set looks like, here is a picture of a set just sold over on Pelican. Pretty Sweet.

Great in-car footage of a 1974 Porsche Carrera RSR 3.0 in the 2014 Le Mans Classic. Every time you think the RSR is going to pass one of the 935’s they hit the boost on a straight section and they are gone.

Hey Fellas, My alternator Pooped out on me, Seems like the shaft bearing gave up the ghost.

Id like to keep my original and get another one. Any recommendations on where to get an alternator for my the 79 930? Besides ebay and pelican or perhaps you know a specific seller on ebay you have delt with or a specific parts supplier?

I need to yank it out today but Id like to get a well rebuild alternator not something that got new brushes and bam its a rebuilt unit.

    thanks guys
