I'll be heading down that way next month to visit my Mom and I need to get a key programmed and a look at my suspension fault. Curious as to whether or not their service dept. is good. My other option is to stop at the Ferrari dealer in Orlando on the way down. Thanks.

I don't personally know about their service department but Bud Root is IMHO the greatest ferrari sales guy in the country and one of the most genuine, nicest people you'll ever meet.

I'm sure if you call him prior to your arrival he'll take care of you and make sure your experience there is stellar. If you do call him, make sure you tell him I said "hi".

Don't know about WPB but the service department in Orlando has been great. I always pick my up my California in detailed condition.

I was in Palm and had an issue with my 355. I left a voicemail with the service department but did not get a call back. Another attempt and explained I had driven the car down from New Orleans and would be in town for a few days. They said we cannot look at it for at least a week as we are full with our "local customers". Can understand they are full but not really helpful to a traveler. At the very least, not a good way to put it. Luckily was able to limp it home with the throw out bearing shot.

They may be really good but would suggest you schedule ahead and make sure they can complete during your stay.

What you should hear from an authorized dealer is. "Bring the car in right away sir and we'll do what we can to keep you on the road." The measure of a good service department isn't just what they do for their local customers, but what they do for all Ferrari owners, especially those with an urgent need.

    Hi Bill,

Had a key programmed at Ferrari of Tampa Bay--10-minutes and seems like it was~ $140. On a Sat morning! Not sure about if they could do your suspension issue? I bet if you call them you would get a better response than you got at Palm Beach.

Best bet is Ferrari Central Fl in Orlando. Bud is a great guy but he does not work in service department. Let's just say there are better dealerships to have your car "serviced" in S. Florida.

I deal with FPB frequently, and have only had positive experiences from sales to service. I agree that Bud Root is one of the top Ferrari guys in the country and a true gentleman. The manager Jay Youmans is also a class act! They will take care of you.
