Couldn't Nico simply take longer to feel comfortable on the track, and then get faster? Right now, he just seems more focused, less distracted. He is also faster when it matters.

Actually, that appears to be the source of the allegation that Nico was taking LH's information.

I don't know that I agree with Toto...if both drivers are free to race, why take away any set up advantage? Maybe he's saying he'll do that until the WCC is sewn up, but it seems like a tough move for the drivers to accept.

Good luck designating a #1/#2 driver among this pair. One of them will need to leave, otherwise the team will implode. The lesson is always the same: you cannot have two alpha dogs on the same team.

No not saying that, but I'd tend to think it is the other way round, as Hamilton usually is a pole sitter when his car and team mate play ball.

Aha yes that's when Alonso started bribing his own engineers with his own money to make his car faster, yes I remember that.

I have no doubt Hamilton benefited from Freds car set up, but think about it, he matched him with his own car set up as a rookie, impressive again IMO, if we want to go down that route.

 

There is no doubt they all compare every single thing between team mates. Just like Nico would be wondering why Lewis was always faster in the first sector, Lewis would be wondering why Nico was always faster in the second.

That's how the teams work.
