Looking forward to seeing/hearing the video and dyno results.

Looking forward to soundclips. If there is no drone at cruising speeds and yet the F1 shriek can be achieved, I'm keen to get one set.
Looks like the video shoot has slowed because of the upcoming holiday weekend ....... however the exhaust should makes it's way to the '2014 stooge spring fling' at the end of this month ...... we may be able to capture some sound clips then ..... ....... otherwise we should have a nice vid collection soon after the picnic ....
Goth, I've got a no muffler custom pipe arrangement but would prefer a cleaner challenge exhaust setup for I already have the mounting bracket. Let me know if you want to build me one and the cost.
Tentative schedule for dyno testing this new system will be next Saturday .... 06/21/2014 ...... All 348 and 355 guys are welcome to come down and see how this beast performs !! ...... we have already taken 'before' dyno data a while back at this place ......... so this will be the obligatory 'after' dyno test ...... also, if you are interested in running your own 355 or 348 ..... just post on here and we'll try to get a group together ..... Here is the dyno shop: Location
When are you going? I have a conflict that date but if it's early I can meet you there. The sound from this beastly set up is unworldly! Can't wait to see the guys at the dyno when you fire it up and shread it to red line. Sean is going to be stunned. If the results are what we think, then the 348 crowd is going to want their version.
The actual run time for the system will be at high noon next saturday ....... we will be getting there at least an hour early ........ and will be shooting some video while on the dyno and hopefully more during the day ....... it will be great to see how this system performs! There are a couple more dyno slots right after this ..... so anyone interested in watching or dyno .... should post and come on down .....
... are in. Greatest delta was around 30 hp more at ~6400 rpm. Remember, this is the difference between aftermarket cat-back exhausts; the improvement should be greater from a stock exhaust set up. I am also running OEM headers, with 200-cell hi-flow cats on both runs. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Alex's gothspeed exhaust sounds INSANE! I have honestly never heard a better sounding 355 in person EVER! I Went down to the dyno test yesterday, and just missed the last pull by minutes. However, Alex took me for a ride afterwards. The first time the bypass opened up the PURE old school F1 SHRIEK made me laugh out loud, like a little kid! It was such an awesome sound. Not only that but, the jump in power, both hp & tq, Ozzy's exhaust made causes the wheels to break loose when the bypass opens up at low speeds. Looking at Alex's graph you can see from about 3800-ish/rpm to about 4300 rpm the ramp up in torque is around 70lb/ft in a span of about 500/rpm. From 4000-5000/rpm there is a 100hp ramp up in power. You can definitely feel the push, and it continues to pull as the rpms rise. I also asked Alex to just drive at normal speed, and it is very docile and mellow. Basically virtually stock sounding, except at a slightly higher pitch. I drove past him on the freeway at cruising speed, and you have no idea it is a custom exhaust. Quiet as can be. But MAN OH MAN when the bypass opens it sounds like there is an F1 race car prowling the street. The gothspeed muffler is a total, and I mean TOTAL ........ Dr.Jeckel - Mr.Hyde exhaust. In my opinion it is a master piece, and Ozzy has TRUELY outdone himself with this. His finest work yet! Bravo Oz, ...... BRAVO!!!
Was there too and I can confirm. The numbers don't lie. Unbelievable. Im considering a 348 version if goth is willing, but I don't want to distract him from doing his own car. Plus Sean the owner of the dyno shop and a professional tuner was impressed with the gain.
I have one of Goth's exhaust and I gained 22rwhp after it was installed. And that is with Fabspeed headers and Hyperflow cats already installed.
Guys, please. A sound clip or u-tube vid. Please!! This sounds like exactly what I've been looking for to pass my vehicle inspection every two years. They measure the db during the inspection and right now I have to put the factory muffler to pass the inspection and then put my tubi back on afterwards and I'm sick of doing it.
Alex needs to get a set of headers and then get his ecu tuned. There is still more power to be found.
Agreed. Dare I say that he could surpass goth's numbers? :O Wasn't goth at about 360 at the hubs with his cats and Fabspeed headers?
We took some videos and sound clips after the dyno, Oz is editing them as we speak. Stay tuned! Start connecting your computer sound card to a set of high end speakers or to your hifi system and be prepared to be blown away by the sound track! Though the original intention of this system isn't to just pass inspection ;-) it'll do the job. Idle, cruising, and light throttle it is just a quiet as stock (just a different higher pitched character), but by all means do not let that inspector floor the throttle! ;-)
Really, Tim? You are close to deciphering the 5.2? Please keep us updated. I'll be working on my C.O.P. system next.
