I was working on my 355 yesterday (swapping the Tubi back to the stock exhaust and installing the recovered dash); working with the garage doors open. A large white Ram pickup pulls up the driveway with an older gent in it. I went up to him and he was smiling and handed me a business card. I was just thinking "what is this guy trying to sell me", when he said "I see you have some Ferrari's, you probably know my store". I looked at the card: Remo Ferri - President of Ferrari Ontario and Ferrari Alberta. We chatted very briefly about what I was doing with the car (he seemed to think that the exhaust should be left "just as Ferrari built it"). Then he noticed my project car next to the 355. "I see you have a Dino too, very nice car". I had to tell him that it was a Fiero rebody that I was working on. He laughed and said "Ferrari doesn't like it when people do that". Then he said that he was glad that I like Ferrari's.

I should have told him that I would scrap the Fiero/Dino if he would replace it with the real thing.

Neat little story, but why you going back to stock from Tubi?

He said he had business or an appointment in the area (he pointed in the distance).

Why, do you really think he might be interested in buying my Dinero (Dino/Fiero) when it is done? :)

The car came with the Tubi on it (I don't know which loudness version). I found it a bit too loud. It also came with the stock muffler so I'm putting it on to see what the difference is, since I don't really have a point of reference for the stock exhaust.

That's kinda cool that he would stop by just like that.

But, I wonder, could he spot the Dino from the street or did he notice that after he got out of his truck?

Does this mean you live on a main high traffic road ?

Because if you live in a crescent or dead end that would be interesting LOL.

I live more or less in the country. Our road is travelled a fair bit. I think he said something about driving by some time ago and seeing the cars. He could have seen the Dinero from the road, and anyone into cars would certainly be curious about it. I did think it was cool when he laughed and said Ferrari wouldn't like it.

He was probably like a shark watching its prey. Wanted to know if it was a real Dino and if you knew its value or not, ready to offer a good price.

This seems unlikely for the Remo Ferri I'm acquainted with....but wow cool story.

I'm not denying your story, we have a mutual friend in MarioZ, and he has good things to say about you.

This is just a side of Remo most of us aren't used to hearing about.

OK, but remember what I wrote, it is not an actual Dino. If you want to give me a hard time about this car, don't bother, I'm immune. :)

It has been ongoing for a number of years now (way more that I originally intended, but if I would stop buying other cars to work on it would have been done long ago). I really am going to try and get it done this year.

Oh, and Remo gets first dibs at it. :)
