Did the first 1000km with mine, absolutely stunning car. this beast want's always beeing pushed, she is like a dog "off the leash", permanent wants to go. much stiffer, aggressive but very well balanced. one negative Point: the Sound is just crap, there is NO Sound, just a chamber Orchester and not the philharmonics... anybody heard about Novitec, Capristo, Tubi ?

Just got back from my annual service at Ferrari of Denver. they had a rosso 458S with a blue/white stripe being prepped for a customer. I must say the car looks much better in person than in the photographs. The engine is gorgeous. A work of art.
It was not real bright in the service garage where the car was. Looked like Rosso Corsa to me...but the cars have to be side be side for me to tell. They also had a yellow F12 for a customer up on the rack. Yellow is not my favorite color for the F12...in fact it is one of my least favorite colors. But I have only seen another F12 in person and it was Rosso Corsa I presume...the car was gorgeous. Best.
What material are those vertical aerodynamic flaps in the front bumper made of? What color are those flaps? Looks white or maybe light gray? I'm considering ordering those vertical flaps in carbon fiber. But I'm thinking those flaps may take a lot of abuse from road debris. Do you think CF flaps will hold up to the abuse?
I would have those parts wrapped in gloss black, instead of having them carbon since they will soon be damaged by road debris.
Finally today I had the chance to weight my Speciale. The car had full fuel tank and is equipped with 4 point harnesses, navi, radio, rear view camera and parking sensors , telemetry, main pilot seating adjustment system, full carbon in engine compartment and cruise control. From the final weight I detracted the fuel (64,5 kg/142 lbs), the fire extinguisher (3,5 kg/7,7lbs ), the tire's compressor (1,85 kg/4lbs ) and manuals plus safety accessories and car tools kit (3,1 kg/6,8lbs).At the end the car weighted 1.433 kg/3.156 lbs including the list of accessories that can't be removed. I don't know how much they can weight but I know that the difference between what declared and my car is 38 kg/83,7lbs including them. Just to compare , my previous 997 MkII GT3 (smaller car and engine and manual gear) weighted 1.400 kg/3.083 lbs with navi, radio, lift system, roll-bar, carbon seats, four point harnesses and engine active suspensions.Btw the car is very well balanced if you look at the results.. Interesting, my car was flown in and on the air freight declaration the listed weight for flight purpose was 1310kg.
Impressive...not just that, i.e. 'best engine above 4 litres' & 'Performance engine of the year' but also runner up to the overall 'international engine of the year' considering the competition. Results | Engine of the Year 2014

I don't have any more pics now, but the car is at Gran Turismo Polonia so we might see more if the next few days.
