Forgive the stupid question but I have gone brain dead ( getting old) and can't remember which cylinder is # 1 on my 94 348 Spider. Also can't find a picture in the WSM and a search didn't help. So would appreciate some help. Let's reference from the bell housing looking forward. Is it the first ( closest to bell housing)
cylinder on the left or right side ? Better safe than sorry.

    Thanks in advance.

The numbers are stamped right on the valve cover. Looking in from the rear #1 is on the right and closest to the passenger cabin.

Thanks Ernie. The heads are off just having completed a refresh so couldn't reference the vlv. covers. So right side front cylinder looking from the bell housing. Definitely not what I thought so glad I asked. I follow your posts and appreciate you helping so many Fchatters.

If I were closer I would like to enroll as an entry level stogie assistant.
