We can take the photos you requested, but I will need to get it on a lift. My brother ran an automotive service centre for almost 25 years but had to retire prematurely due to ill health. The workshop has now become a storage warehouse for some of our toys. There are 7 hoists in one building and 6 in another. Each hoist is currently storing a car and one below, plus there are cars packed within the floor area with a bare minimum of space around the cars to walk through. We plan to service #10448 and 10120 in the near future but my brother is currently recovering from cancer surgery and it probably wont happen for a little while yet until he completes his radiotherapy treatment. I too was a cancer victim in recent years and now a survivor ( I hope). We had been collecting during our business years with the plan to restore many of the cars in house in my brother 's shop, but our plans have been interrupted. We may or may not get around to restoring some of the cars we had planned to do - it will ultimately depend on how things pan out in the near future. I am now far more conscious of my responsibility to preserve these very special cars and their history in my capacity as custodian. Accordingly, my interest is in originality versus restored trailer queens. Apart from the Lamborghinis, we have many other cars. I will list some for your interest: 1.OSCA 1600GT x 3 2.ABARTH ZAGATO 750 3.ABARTH 1300SS 4.MONTEVERDI 375L 5.FACEL VEGA FV4 (1 of 30 with dual quad 6.4L Hemi and 1 of only 6 actually built with Pont-a-Mousson 4 speed gearbox) 6.FACEL VEGA EXCELLENCE ( French Ministry car during Charles De Gaulle's Presidency) 1 of only 10 built with 6.4L Hemi 7. MASERATI - Ghibli, INDY, KYALAMI 8. FERRARI 365 GT4 & 400 9. ASA 1000 10. ALFA ROMEO 1900C Touring First Series PLUS MANY OTHER European & American low production cars including 1971 STUTZ Blackhawk First series Split Windshield model 1 of 26 built ( ELVIS Was first Customer for this model STUTZ) & the only example optioned with supercharger, 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, 1959 Eldorado Brougham 1 of 99 ( Pininfarina assembly) 1960 Eldorado Brougham ( Pininfarina Assembly), Chrysler 300 letter series collection from 1957 - 1964 model years, 1927 T Model FORD HOT ROD with KURTIS track nose and Belly Pan campaigned at BONNEVILLE 1950 - references HOT ROD Magazine and several other publications. Several 1950s - 60s HOT RODS and Customs with Magazine or Show car history including OAKLAND Roadster (AMBR) show winners. From my recent posts many of you may have assumed that my whole life revolves around the JARAMA, but as you can well see this is not the case. However, if I had to sell all of my cars the last cars remaining would be the Lamborghinis, & OSCA vehicles. Lets say that perhaps they are my favourite although for me its always difficult to choose between them - I love them all and their respective histories. In some instances their history is as interesting as the cars themselves! Perhaps now you may begin to understand why I have chosen to label our collection the "AUTOART" Collection and accordingly my username "AUTOART".
No affiliation, very nice & interesting model #10066 => Lamborghini Other Jarama RARE Best Options Only 28K Miles | eBay
Heads up all, I am 90% sure that one the cleanest original Jarama GT is coming up for auction with Gooding. I think in August. About 4900 miles. Maintained. Well taken care of. Again, 100% original and perfect. Brown with brown. This is the one to have! I have seen many private photos of this car.
Thank you for the compliment. I think one needs to have different cars for different moods. Facels are great cars and interest is gaining momentum as reflected in their increasing values . It is interesting that in the last 6 months I have been contacted by interested parties seeking to purchase the Facels in my collection. The cars are not advertised nor for sale at present although that may change in the near future given my brother's circumstances. There has been similar interest in the OSCA 1600GTs and in particular the 1952 Alfa 1900C Sprint (Touring). Mike
Here is Jarama GTS VIN #10622 offered for just below 100.000 - no affiliation : Ol'Drive : Lamborghini Jarama S à vendre People that were attempting the GIRO 50 last year will recognise the only one Jarama present at the event. It belongs to French fellow Paul L., his car was serviced for years by Edmond Ciclet Image Unavailable, Please Login

The Jarama's exterior design was 10 years ahead of it's time, the granddaddy of hot hatches. Iso Lele represent the 70's in design, Jarama the 80's.
The ISO LELE does not have the distinctive flared wheel arches, nor the low squat design which are predominant features of the Jarama. About the only things in common with the Lele are the headlight covers and the raked "c" pillar. The actual inspiration for Gandini's design came from an American Design which influenced many of the styling cues on the Jarama. The particular American design was remarkable as far as car design is concerned, however the inspiration for this vehicle derived from an innovative "original" design penned by one of most prolific designers of the 20th Century some 30 years earlier. I have given enough clues. Scholars of automotive design or anyone who has knowledge of both American and European styling should have no trouble in identifying the design I refer to which ultimately influenced the JARAMA. Does anyone know the American design that influenced Gandini in penning his wonderful Jarama?
The car sold by Fantasy Junction appears to have BF Goodrich tires. I believe the rear tires may be 255/60 x 15. They fill up the wheel arch snug. 245/60 x 15 has the same aspect ratio ( overall tire diameter) as 215/70 x 15. The rear tires shown seem to have a higher aspect ratio than the original fitment tires - so I would say at least 255/60 x 15. 255/50 x 15 have a smaller aspect ratio than the original 215/70 x 15. For standard rims I would go with 225/70 x 15 for on road use if you prefer the "snug" look.
AMC Gemlin is a hatch as well. Note the flared fenders ... Even has a roof spoiler ... spoiler is very apt too! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does a Muira run 255/60's? That sidewall looks damn tall. I know I have to do my math. But darn! That's a huge tire My 225/70 has a sidewall 6.2in. A 255/60 has a smaller but pretty much identical sidewall of 6.02in. The width is 1.18 in wider. BUT that width could make that illusion, I'm lost. Is there a 245 or 255/70? Would love to know who bought it, to get the answer. Maybe I should call Fantasy, car could still be there.
Peter, the rim offset may give the illusion of a bigger tire than 255/60 but then it could be. It is difficult to be sure by reference to photos only. Goodyear produced a tire with a "V" speed rating used on Police Hwy patrol cars in both 235/70 x 15 and 245/70 x 15.
Peter, I used to run 255/60VR15 DOT legal track tires, BFG R1, on my Bora when I took it to the track. A tire built for Corvettes for the track. It all depends upon how the tire is constructed. They worked very well on the track. BFG made a street version in the same size that many used as well. In contrast I also tried a Gatorback 225/70VR15 on the same car for street use and they were like hush puppies - way too much sidewall flex. XGTs in 245/60VR15 were a really great street tire back then and they looked good as well. Very high performance. I wish they were making those instead of XWX which IMHO are junk by comparison when it comes to handling.
