Don't think so
The hospital checked its IT systems and it doesn't look like a hacker job but indeed more like an inside job. Access to the papers was very limited, so chances are they will find the mole. BTW: MS' code name in the hospital was Jeremy Martin.
What do you guys think the chances are of the lowlife being caught? Do we know if it's an electronic theft or theft of physical documents?
High. Very high. I imagine it's probably somebody with access to the medical records who then passed it on to a friend.
A few snippets of information from the french press today, summarized here; all in the conditional tense = not sure. The report could be in fact only a "first draft" ("brouillon", in french: a paper onto which you sketch the general ideas, and then discard) and in paper form, not an electronic document. Most probably, it is in fact some, but not all, the pages of the "first draft" of the summary for the transfer of Michael made by the Grenoble Hospital for the Lausanne Hospital. It could well have been picked into the basket for discarded papers, and is very probably incomplete, with some pages missing. It does indeed includes medical information about Michael's state of health, but nothing that could be considered as a coherent description. It is said by some (don't ask me who...) of being actually of not much interest from a medical information perspective. The person (or persons?) who is (are) trying to sell it uses the pseudo "Kagemusha", so is probably an Akira Kurosawa's fan ? The french Police does not have any clue yet as to the identity of "Kagemusha", but have made an open call to all journalists that have been proposed the paper by "Kagemusha" to contact them and give the coordinates of the seller. Now this would of course be contrary to the deontology of the journalists, who never, ever, divulge their sources, but some of them, considering the whole thing as "disgusting" , are said to think twice about it. Seems that it is actually "Bild" that has been proposed the paper in the first place, but they refused it and alerted Sabine Kehm. Rgds
Well, according to some press reports this morning, the E-Mails sent by "Kagemusha" have been positively tracked to an I.P adress in Zürich, Switzerland, which, of course, doesn't mean any identification of their sender yet, only that the computer's adress was in Zürich. The french district attorney in charge of the inquiry has hinted that the writer could indeed be Swiss, as his E-mail are in French, German and English, and fluent in the three langages and grammatically perfect in each. Rgds
When I was a kid (a loooong time ago) we had a proverb that said: "it is the hen that has actually laid the egg down that speaks the first..." Rgds
The police description of a Swiss from Zurich who speaks those 3 languages fits thousands of people in that city.
Yep, I know; but I also know that this description ""an individual thats speaks french, german and english fluently with no grammar error" does not fit any frenchman at all...so a Swiss he must be! Rgds
I didn't know I was stut-stut-stut-stut-stuttering, I suppose that explains my lal-lal-lal last phone call bill was ov-ov over £300.00...
