Does any one know where I can get this bulkhead ( cover ) for distributor of a 308 GTB (1980) RHD. It's parts number is 111838. New or a good used is great for me. Please let me know or PM me would be very much appreciated.

They come up occasionally on Ebay. The last one I saw went for over £100 (US$ 170) but that was a while back.

I know that it's not your F, but I just want to comment on the unusualness of that photo: '78-'79 US version 308 engine with a euro single distributor and the euro cover -- don't see that every day ;).

I thought that was only on the early glass cars.

Steve, what gives it away that it's a '78-'79? I know it's not a dry sump version, but how are you so sure about the year? And by the way, I'm not doubting you!

    That's '78-'79 US

    1. 1-4 camcover has cast-in "dogbone" mount feature (on all version '77 and before, this was/is a separate piece) and the air injection pump mount feature (only on US versions).

    2. 1-4 exhaust cam has pulley for air injection pump v-belt (only on US version).

    3. Airbox snout is the larger/boxier shape with the closing air flap mechanism inside (introduced on 1978 US)

    4. R1/R2 microswitch present on 1-2 carb
