new f430 spider with some question

I just received my 2007 F430 Spider Wonderful car much better than my f355 Lots of power, and that noise puts a smile on my face every time. now I have some questions maybe you guys can help:

1) Car arrived with an almost flat battery, it did not start but everything else worked perfect, after connecting the included battery tender and leaving it for a while it started and was working fine. Is battery drain a problem on this cars?

2) My passenger side door handle does not fit flush with the door like the one on the driver side. For some reason it feels loose and funky however it works as normal. Anyone seen this before?

3) The radio is like a badly design maze with no way out. Is there a way to adjust the bass/treble of FM radio? how about the EQ settings?

A fully charged battery will drain in about 2 weeks on a 430. Either drive it often or keep it on a tender.

Probably just a broken tab or something like that on your door handle. Have a tech refit or get a new part if it bothers you enough. While you are at it, they do sell carbon versions of the door handle that look awesome!

Forget the radio. Nobody knows how to get out of that maze. Best to steer clear.

Door handle is probably a cable adjustment. Easy to do but you have to take off the door card to do the outside handle's cable.

 

Door handle will be like that when your passenger tries to pull really hard when the door is still locked. Been there! Dumb biatch. Need to pull the interior cover and align the cables + cable attachments.

Let me know when you figure it out. I've had mine since May 2012 and cannot figure the eq either. Does yours have bluetooth? If so, Waze works well with this radio believe it or not.

 

mine does have Bluetooth, when you say waze works well do you mean that instructions comes through radio? also any way to stream music via Bluetooth?

For radio EQ you need to press on radio button and then scroll down to sound however I have no clue how to set the custom ones or the TIME...

 

Yes I do. Just make sure the phone is parred. Once it makes the beep you can run Waze out of the radio without doing anything but in using a smart home. It does not stream music only nav apps.

 

After 200 miles on it (yes I know in 2 days) got my first check engine light, car seems normal no funky sounds or anything. Should I worry or should I just buy a generic OBD2 scanner and check/clear the codes? how common are these on the car?

 

get it checked out. they usually don't turn on for no reason. better safe than sorry

 

Not common. I would not worry a ton until you know what the cause is. I'd get a scanner for your smart phone to get a general idea what the issue is before going into a shop. May just be a loose gas cap. Could be a more serious issue. Where did you buy it? Maybe the seller will do a quick scan for you as part of some "warranty".
