I was hesitant but waited a year. My car came with both grills and I didn't like the 2 tone challenge look. So I painted challenge grill in matching silver with professional paint and it came out awesome I think! It looks way better in person. When sun is shining, you can see the chrome Capristo and pipes behind it . From further than 15 ft, it just looks like a regular glossy silver tail panel.

I hate the two tone. I like that. Don't know how it would look on my yellow though.

^^ I think you can only get away with it on silver or black

Looks pretty neat TBH. Though I miss the racey style of having it blacked out.

Great job! I had never thought of this for you non-black owners but that looks really great!

Why? If a light color like silver doesn't look wrong why would yellow or red?

It looks pretty good but I will stick with black for my car. I like the two tone.

Nice I like it. I once saw a car at a dealer that was used for racing and it was silver and looked like this one. I wonder what a red one would look like.

That looks fantastic! I've always wondered how it would look besides black. Hmmm... my brain's ticking over now....

It looks way better in person, the pics look weird because I used a low megapixel on my phone settings. For some reason the mesh is skewed looking in the pictures. It looks like normal holes of the challenge grill. Thanks everyone!

The trick is to have it professionally painted and not use cheap spray cans. lol

I think it looks pretty awesome. Not sure what Red would look like though, but Silver really works.
    Good job

Very cool looking. I too like the solid color of the standard grill, your solution is perfect.

had you painted blue, it would have been appropriate for this one weekend (but not the rest of the year) :D

I don't know what you are on about? I stuck a challenge grill on my car and it matched just fine. Oh hang on....my car is black!
The silver grill looks real good. Those wheel offsets look good too.
