And, if the report is true, I suspect the Swiss helicopter ambulance company implicated may be a little short of clients going forward. Which is a pretty good outcome......

Compared to some public backlash they got over Polanski and breach of banking secrecy laws, this case is small potatoes.

Apparently the whole extradition part is off the table anyways since we're now talking about a purely Swiss based case. Sounds more like a heavy fine or brief jail time.

 

I understand what you mean. Since things are not going like they want about Michael's recovery and combined to the fact that they want to preserve their privacy, we will never get news ...

What happened to schmacher is sad but it does not give them the right to bend rules and hit out of the track everybody they consider as an opponant to their Schumacher Dogma/WetDream Championship ( I understand that they surely try to emulate their idol but come on ... Dunno. Naturalization isn't easy, then again, as long as he is a resident, that's really all he needs: Living there and enjoying the lower taxes. It's not like he needs a Swiss work permit or feels a need to vote. So why bother? The family is probably also still proud to be German and don't want to give that up (not sure whether that's now a requirement or not). You definitely don't want to loose your Euro passport unless you really have to.

The inquiry seems narrowing down indeed…the “helicopter company” could be the Federal Air Rescue company from Switzerland, the REGA.

The REGA has an exceptional reputation and is the pride and joy of the Swiss. A sad day for the country if one of REGA's employees did this.

 

Do you think more updates would have diffused this situation, given his status, I think it could have, and in no way do I mean any disrespect to the family and there wishes.

I know how many people were concerned about my recent shock tumor op, and I said to the other half, imagine if you had told them nothing or very little, what do you think they would assume.

The medical report is only interesting because the family has not been forthcoming.

I still believe there is a reasonable middle ground between a feeding frenzy and the current news blockade: A brief statement on a monthly basis by Kehm and/or the doctors would suffice. The family doesn't need to be involved in this.
Progress is slow at best so a monthly update cycle would suffice.

 

My thoughts also, the consequence of updates would have certainly devalued the information stolen.

 

Yes, I agree; should it be really one of REGA's employees, it would be shame on the guy! He should also be prosecuted for the damages he caused to the impeccable reputation of the company...

REGA reacted and filed an investigation with the Zurich authorities. This was required to get the ball rolling which might either clear REGA of wrong doing or nail the suspect. Interesting development.

 

I guess it is only a matter of days now, perhaps even hours...'till the suspect is found and convicted.

People don't realize that this is Switzerland. Anything takes a lot of time here.
