Nnnooo!!! Scuderia Sheild Damaged. Anybody else had this issue?

I have absolutely no idea how this happened. Found it when I was walking around the car in the driveway but have no recollection as to what could have happened.

Has anybody had this issue before and any tips on how to hide it?

Happened to my buddy's Diablo Roadster also. He filled it in with nail polish, lol.

Sorry that stinks. Your local Ferrari parts department will be happy to sell you a new one.

 

That stinks! I would replace it.

 

I noticed if you take a pic on an ipad, it seems to do that. Especially if you run the magnetic cover. The orientation of the ipad camera is upside down when that's used. It's super annoying.

Sorry about the badge. It looks like something ate the clear coat off it.
I've seen them for sale at exotic auto wrecking. I've seen set's on ebay for around 450. You might be able to just find one.

Wow these things are expensive, lol. Going to be difficult to find just one instead of the pair.

I know! Keeps happening to me. It shows up right side up on the phone and then when I upload from the phone they flip. Same thing happened on the Sea-Doo forums.

 

Vandalism???

How could that possibly be a rock or an accident???

Maybe something fell on it in the garage??

 

When I had my car in for its annual and to have the head liner re-attached due to the quality Ferrari glue and foam used at the factory - disintegrated in the heat; the service tech mentioned that the OEM shields could crack in hot weather.

My car spent 5 years in Texas and there are no signs of cracking, but I do check periodically.

 

I'm extremely careful about stuff around the car so something in the garage falling isn't really much of a possibility. But Vandalism... I don't know... Could be a possibility.

That would actually make sense and it could have been the heat. Hit 100° a few days ago here in Louisville which is when I noticed it. It sat in the sun outside the yacht club while we were out on the river all day so that could very well be.

Gotta be a big ass stone chip! I had the same problem not once, not twice but trice!!! So I've stocked up!!! I don't think it's vandalism, if it was, it would have been keyed.
