I'm having a hard time removing the rear header off the engine. I have the muffler out and the header is dropped but can't seem to get it out. What do I do?

Drop the park brake linkage. Sometimes you may need to remove the motor mount bolts and torque bar to the rear cam cover and slide the engine assembly forward.

The easiest way (based upon my time under my GTB) is to bite the bullet and remove the RH tank.

Doing this and also unbolting your motor mounts, and carefully raising the engine, will give you enough room to roll a complete header out of the RH wheel well.

My job was a little easier because my header had exploded to pieces...lighting the car on fire

But, I still had to fit the new complete unit in, and that's how I did it...

Your suspension, and brake system can stay together, which is what is "in the way"..

Right, jacking the motor, after doing this, creates clearance.

Brakes on mine stayed in place, just move the engine.

RH tank needs to come out if you are pulling out the front header not rear the header.
