I am still looking... found two parties (a company who subcontracts the manufacturing, and a manufacturer) who might be able to create the correct carpet. Will post an update if something comes through.

Contact my friend Henk at H.V.L HVL Class Leather® - Home

I have been to his shop in Holland and he is now working with Ferrari Classiche. Henk may know of the original supplier and with his contacts able to reproduce an exact copy. Hank is particular so you can be sure he will it will be an exact match.

Tell him Todd from Indiana sent you,

    Good luck!

    Ciao!

I have asked an italian friend to try to get into contact, maybe he has some luck.

I did but got no reply yet unfortunately.

Yes, based on the posts in this threads we have around 20-30 sets requested up to now. My guess is that there is a market for around 20-40 sets a year, both EU and US mixed.

I don't know yet, it depends on the manufacturer, setup cost and pricing. Of the +60 weaveries/manufacturers we contacted only one said it can be done but the minimum order was around 100 sets which would come to $500 a set.

The plan is to find a company who can produce this kind of carpet and sell to everyone. Then either we buy per square meter/roll individually or find a company in the EU and US producing the final carpets/lining for EU and US trunks (which are different in size and shape).

I'm currently talking to a carpet weavers and also a large car restoration workshop who is trying to source this from his weavers (as well as to Henk and Trinchero). (At this point i am frustrated enough to build up my own loom and learn the trade :)

I contacted Trinchero many times ,but no answer from him,the difficult is to have the same carpet ,if we have carpet , i think the rest ,( to cut and work), will be easy.
Thank you very much for your work, i hope at least can resolve.
    Best regards

My italian friend managed to talk to one of the guys at Trinchero but they said that they can't do the weaving of the carpet. No response from Henck.

As of this week we finally managed to find a German carpet weaver which seems to have the right equipment, and a yarn producer in Romania who can do this type of yarn including the coloring. Minimum quantity is 100 meters with a width of 140 cm (e.g. 140 square meters). The weaver can change the yarn within the production run so we could share the produced quantity between the different colors (beige, blue, red). My gut feeling is that the share would look like 70% beige, 20% blue, 10% red. If we go that way, i would need carpet samples for red and blue.

Next step is to check how much carpet we need for one car and do a rough cost estimation.
