Did he win or even look like winning? Nope. Just trundled around without troubling rosberg

During the race or qualy, did he show it much? No. Even on the weekend his mum died, in the car, did his job, the emotion was always in check when he was driving. Hamilton has a red mist too often, and I for one wouldn't bet on him anytime he had a problem

Ayrton was undoubtedly very emotional. It didn't always result in great decisions (like Suzuka, e.g.) but it fueled his driving more often than not.

Lewis can let his emotions get the better of him at times, but I don't think it will stop him from notching more WDC's. I don't think it will stop him this year.

The year when he kept breaking up with his big titted girlfriend is key in point. He was all over the place.

I too would be upset if I didn't get to have a go on her at night, but then I realized I got paid over a million a month so could afford a couple of high class escorts that even looked like her. And all would be well...

    ;)

IMO the last race of the season will be the decider especially if one of the drivers has a DNF

Yes MS was totally ruthless emotionless and flawed as well as in he pushed to hard or not when things did not go his way, I remember him passing his brother when he had a bad crash, I was amazed he didn't seem to bother at the time, but carried on to race hard seemingly unaffected.

Of course he cared and I'am not saying he didn't, but winning was solely his main goal, like Hamilton IMO.

You seem to infer Hamilton has red mist all the time, well I do not think that is the case, like MS did, he want's to win at all costs, and the only thing I felt was wrong, more so in his earlier days, was he wanted to nail and pass every single thing on track without looking at the bigger picture, if you feel that's red mist ok, of late circumstances and the lap of the racing gods have been stacked against him, so no doubt it has caused him high frustration.

Here watch this reminder of times gone by all good stuff, Mika was my favorite driver though so maybe I was slightly biased. :)

Hamilton, at times, seems to lack focus. Red Mist or distractions from his personal life who knows?

Eh Sid jump to 8:30 and tell me what you would have said if Hamilton had done this ...to Coultard.

I can hear it now, what was that you were saying about how MS didn't show any emotions..:)

Ain't that the truth! Someone was battling me a couple of races ago after I challenged him for saying Hunt was the example of the kind of composure Lewis needed to have.

James was a wild man and I liked the personality he brought to the track, but he became unhinged like no other driver I've seen.

It bothers me that Lewis's pit stops are always longer than Nico's, and his two DNF's were outliers also (although Nico's last race helped damp that issue down a bit). I would have Lewis win the Championship on his race ability, but it bothers me that there is a suspicion Mercedes may subtly engineer a 'German' winner as the season rolls on.... The pit stop issue alone could decide that in Nico's favour. If Lewis loses, he will be off to a new team. I think there is going to be much more drama to come...

    Lewis couldn't knock anyone over.
Could you even imagine the pure comedy of Rosberg and Hamilton fighting each other?.....
    Classic.

I see what you are trying to do, but I already mentioned this event in a previous post. Coulthard on the racing line, unsighted schumi thought he did it deliberately (which he probably did), and took it badly. Who wouldn't have a pop after the race, done it myself on plenty of occasions when another driver was a dumbass

What we are talking about though is 'in the car' and controlling your emotions, schumi on the whole drove without emotion, Hamilton snaps over tiny things, look at all the radio transmissions where he is moaning, whining, and getting annoyed with people over stuff, the lunges at people, the crashes with massa, his mind is not focused all the time like it should be, it okay to admit he has a flaw you know

I think all this talk about what's going on in a drivers head is ludicrous. None of us know what's going on in their Heads. As stated
Above there are many instances of pretty much every driver losing their cool
And having a go at someone in public? How's that even a bad trait.

Hamilton is faster than rosberg. Fact.

Hamilton should win depending on luck

I'm pleased to see Nico receiving half the vote. Had the question been posed prior to race one, I suspect his apex would have arrived early, near 10% I imagine... ;) .

Fwiw, I voted Group 44. Sincerely hope I'm wrong on this one though....apologies Krafters et al..;) .

A brand new WDC is good for the sport.

I also often wonder as to WHY his pit stops are slightly longer than Nico's and then I put crazy thoughts into my head because of it......
