Hey - there's a piece of good news assuming that is destined for a customer and not just display.

I believe it's a customer car. The FBV employee posted the picture on IG with the accompanying text:

It would make sense that by "delivered" he's implying it's a customer car - not merely a showpiece.

The problem is already solved . The car is ready for delivery and the problem was really easy to solve. Unfortunately I can't say more .I tried to write the same into McLaren Forum but my post was not yet published. Censure? :)

Very slow, the administration over there. Don't take it personally and its certainly not due to any bias as the group that manages the forum now has no allegiance to the McLaren brand. It's run by AutoGuide - they own and manage about 400 automotive message forums:

Automobile Reviews, Videos, Pictures and Automobile Prices

Good to hear the flaming LaFerrari is well for the sake of this owner, and hopefully it proves to be an isolated incident for the rest of them.

Yea, color is metallic Red (Rosso nuovo) and of course with Black roof and it is lovely combo. Wheels are dark grey (not black) and brake calipers are yellow - dark grey wheels create beautiful contrast between roof and wheels and yellow calipers create perfect contrast between brake calipers and yellow Ferrari shields on body LaFerrari and wheels caps and yellow rev counter. Interior is Black alcantara on upper dashboard and steering wheel, lower dashboard and seats is red leather.............everyone detail on this LaFerrari created absolutely beautiful amazing LaFerrari configuration, very very very like it and for me it is the finest configuration which I saw (IMO).

The data plate of the LF at Beverly Hills yesterday states it was produced May 2014. Whatever that means.
Keep in mind that this is a U.S. Version and they took a little longer to manufacture.

    One of many 'original sketches'.

If you haven't already, I recomment reading the excellent book "LaFerrari - Dynamic Art" if you want to see more of the work behind the design of LaF.

Me neither. Something about the C-pillar section and area behind the seats...

I like it, great design. Why Ferrari didn t do the same as a F50 for the LF?

With a hard top? Today cars are much different at the time of F50. Question design most interesting, different than Mc L P.

Remember Ferrari boast of how the car gains something line 0.2 seconds around Fiorano due to the CG being a few mm's lower because of the fixed seats.

Hard top would be a massive compromise. As said, you cannot escape the laws of physics.
