8,700 miles, one owner, always garage kept. Only driven in nice weather; still has original windshield washer fluid in tank! There is not a single scratch or swirl mark on the car, and of course no accidents or paint work. This is as perfect as it gets. I am in the process of replacing it with an F430. As you guys would expect, the dealer offered me a lowball number for the car (just over $19,000). Since I wasn't happy with that number, he said he would try to push for more, but I don't expect it to be more than a few hundred because he has to make money on the car. If I listed it privately and gave it some time, I believe it would bring in $24,000 to $25,000, but I don't have the time so it will be traded in if I don't sell it within the next week or two. I decided to offer it on Fchat to give someone the opportunity to get it at a good price. I am offering it for $22,000. If you are looking for a yellow C5 with a manual transmission, you will not be disappointed. It does not get better than this car.

    Good luck with the sale!

My dad has a nearly identical car, except without the polished wheels, and a whole lot more miles.

With your permission, I'll pass this ad on to members of my local Corvette club. There's always someone looking for a car. The C5 market is pretty soft right now but with the options and low mileage on your car plus it being a 3 pedal car, you should get close to asking.

    Bill,
It's ok to pass it along to the club, but my dealer bumped up his offer so now after the tax savings I'm a little bit over $20,000. I may have only 1 week left before I need to trade it in. I may be able to sell it in time if I get a quick sale with a local buyer at the asking price.

This is my brothers car. It is in absolutely perfect condition! It's a great deal at that price, if someone is interested in buying a Vette. If I'm saying it's perfect, that should mean a lot being that I'm lovingly referred to on this forum as "The Anal Guy"! LOL

Nice car, really. The problem, in my opinion, is that it is too nice for the market price range. I doubt you will get the money. A C5 Z06 can be had for almost the same money. More miles, but not that many and for these Vettes, what's 20K miles or so either way? This model is also not collectible but is highly optioned and looks like a Z51 car. That said it is still a gorgeous ride and hopefully worth the money to someone, like a Vette freak. Good luck in any case. I'd like to see it go to a good home. I am actually surprised that the dealer offered that much. His margin is probably pretty small.

Why does the window sticker list this as a 4 speed O/D auto?

Hey Mark, I think auto is listed as it's under standard equipment. The options list shows that it actually had the manual installed at the factory. I think it's confusing too!

Good catch, I totally missed it over on the options list.
