I have never gotten over the way they would not allow my ZR-1 Corvette in their show, and mine was one of the last 50 made in 1995 - and I was a founding member of the ZR-1 net registry.

 

And that is probably why my GT won the other than Italian class that year James.

 

Fortunately I was able to see the Speciale at last years release in Austin during the F1 event. It was great. I have not been to a release at Boardwalk since the 458 Italia. I'm not cool enough.

 

Rob, you were the first person that popped in my head. I thought about calling you but for some reason I thought you were fishing. I apologize. You could have schooled me on my Aircraft knowledge.

The ATX event was way cool, in an unexpected location, and just a little warm if I remember correctly.

Yes it was really cool. Yes sir, I have the print. It's great. I also got one of the pics with a historic Ferrari pic. When I was driving there it seemed like a strange location. It was really perfect for the event.

 

It was nice event Rob. Everyone in Colleyville was mailed personalized invitations engraved on sterling silver platters.

My speculation is they did not have metal detectors at the doors for the Southlake crowd )

 

I was SORRY to miss that..but you feed my date, and it's "nap time"!!!

 

That real estate development is the infill of the old airport....

I would like a print of the car, where do I get those?
FoH have them in Parts Dept??

 

Someone may have one, but the signed ones were only given out at the launch events.

It was a nice event.
I was told that a yellow speciale was going to be there, but it was the black one I saw at cars and coffee two weeks ago and spoke to the owner for a while...
I'd like to see a yellow and a red sometime.

 

You have no idea what you are talking about, Mr. Fordham. This happened long before you were at this dealership - and it is an insiders joke among the old-timers in the Ferrari group here. At the time, no Corvettes were allowed and I understood that.

There was no offense taken, Farmer Dave drove that ZR-1 to the meet and we parked it on the front corner of the parking area for display only. I drove my Testarossa to that event, and as I recall took second place in my Ferrari class.

It seems to me that you are the one spreading the malcontent speech. I have always taken the position that I try to get along with everybody. What was posted here was posted in jest - the same as Robs original post.
