Yes, some people who buy cars in Nov and Dec here wait till January to get a fresh new registration. Better for resale value later I think I can best use the model year indication for US cars cause it's mostly US people looking at those cars on the registry anyway. So in the US, are all cars considered 2004 M/Y cars or are there any 2005's too? Thanks for the kind words Spdrcrj. Really appreciate that. I have to say that this website is a hobby website and I really enjoy working on it, I'm on a mission to get 100% of the cars worldwide in the registry...it will take years though But it couldn't be possible without the help of the owners, other CS enthusiasts who email me new VIN's and other info sometimes daily, Ferrarichat, google and last but not least: Karl / KJM3SMG of Home | powerstormtech.com for hosting my website for free.
in many parts of the world the year of manufacture is the "car's year".....never the year of registration......
The engine of ZFFDU57A440139413 is for sale by Exotic Auto Recycling ( Exotic Auto Recycling ) 139413 crashed last year. And with the engine for sale, I guess we won't see this CS back on the road in one piece anymore. Engine has 38000 miles on it (according to Exotic Auto Recycling). The car was for sale in Dec 2013 with 39143 miles (by Auto Bid Master). I'm the highest bidder for the second time on the ebay TDF Any info to help as I try to score? Edit: I already found the threads by vin ZFFDU57A440133305 and am okay with those...
Bid higher until the reserve is of. A clean car in that color combo should fetch 150 plus... Again clean... Currently eBay auction is ~1/2 of that....
There's a company in Czech Republic who claims they are selling US CS ZFFDU57A640135914. Asking price in Europe €85990. This car was for sale by Motorcars International in 2013 (asking price $159500). This is the link to the ad: http://www.autoscout24.eu/Details.aspx?id=255248146&cd=635411015520000000&asrc=st Anyone here who knows more about this? The car is apparently in NYC, Port Elizabeth now ready for shipment. Legit? Scam?
Search of the VIN shows that it's been discussed here before and has had some body work. it was the NA media / press car.
Total scam! This remind me of a similar scam to that of Steve J's F40 in Nevada... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-discussion-not-model-specific-sponsored-algar-ferrari/454369-i-need-your-help-someone-using-my-f40-fraud-bait.html
The guy that previously sold this car sent me pictures of the dent and repair. It was a softball size dent to the rear qtr. panel. No one would care if it wasn't a Ferrari. To my knowledge nothing mechanical and it looked to be repaired correctly from the pictures.
