I´ve read somewhere that this is how it looked BEFORE. The wheels and the roll bars were changed later.

Personally I like the roll bars but agree about the wheels, most modern cars are too big and the wheels always look too small even if they put 20´.

I like the roll bar and the wheels. The ones that are on it now are far too big IMO.

That makes sense. Id like to see the roll bars with the new wheels then. As you said, most cars are too big for the wheels they come with and the rolls only add in size.

The brochure gives an absolutely tremendous insight into the world of personalization that Ferrari offers, quite possibly my favorite piece of literature from the factory. Perhaps they'll publish it on the website or send it to the dealers after a while...

So the owner customized his one off!!! I'm not sure that those special wheels and the dark film on the glasses are factory made...

All of these special projects and one-offs (SP30, SP America, F12 TRS, SP FFX, etc.) are not built by the factory but actually by Evotek Engineering Srl. in Maranello, next to Zanasi's (new industrial zone), on behalf of the factory.
They currently have a new special project in the works, based on a Ferrari FF, also a complete one-off.

I think it removes some of the magic to know that those projects are built by a small independant company...

I guess that he had to modify it after the car had left the factory for legal reasons: without the roll bars and with the dark film the car probably will have homologation problems in many countries. Also it probably drives worse with those wheels.

Well, they are contracted to Ferrari. They adhere to Ferrari's standards. You are not as a customer sitting in a small workshop developing the car. Ferrari takes care of you at their facilities. But SP cars need a dedicated workshop to be created in, since they cannot be assembled on the regular production line. The workshop is high tech, and looks very respectable from the pictures in the brochure.

Actually I think it adds to the uniqueness of the cars, that they are so tailored. It's still a Ferrari, and as a client you are in Ferrari's facilities and design studio. I also believe the clay workshop is inside the Ferrari factory. So really, it is only the final assembly which is done by the workshop.

Actually, I've heard rumours that there is a gentleman setting up plans to create a one-off LaF Spider. So you be careful what you wish for. ;)

    ...so he ordered 2!

I wonder if its this one?
