It was just a suspension failure. Happens all the time during development testing, as well as in racing. Even F1 cars have suspension failures. Nothing to get excited about.

I can understand that. However he should maybe NOT have bought 599 and FF if he wanted to convince us he needs money.

I'll give the channel a try though. 3 pounds per month are nothing.

Doesn't he have some old money? And anyways, he has his cars through lucrative finance deals. As a matter of fact, he has to trade in the FF now because the miles he's put on it. He said he couldn't afford the depreciation. He's appears like the type of guy that has his cars (like the RRover, 599, FF) for a few months - then trades them in and moves on. I'm not saying he's not well off, but he doesn't cash out all those cars.

I understand them having to charge. (Just think about all the income they loose from people using adblock extensions.) They will no doubt loose a fair amount of viewers - But those that stay on will generate a far greater income per view than in the past. If this new funding method turns out to be a financial success, then we can only expect even more high-grade productions from them.

/Drive produces TV-grade shows. We've been lucky for the last few years in that we've been able to watch it for free - yes, absolutely zero $ except for the internet bill. I'll pay. What other shows on regular TV match it? None.

Simple maths: let's say they after some time gain 10,000 subs on /Drive+. That's £30,000/month. Says it all really...

He's caught a lot of flak for it but I fully understand his reasoning. He shouldn't have to burn through his own cash, give up his own cars simply so he can keep giving us free shows to watch.

Harris' 15 minute video is live on Drive+ now. Pay up, it's a hefty £2.99/$5 a month.
