    Indeed.

In other miscellaneous car news, I ordered a pizza last night and was most disappointed with the amount of topping on it.

It wouldn't have got past my critical eye when me and my mates were at the top of our game at the local Pizza Hut circa 1989...

These guys will be pleased to build you a 30cm-ish plush version of your Ferrari (or scooter, or Smart, or Golf) for JPY35-40K (very roughly $350-400).

    Why? Because Japan.

Was getting a little work done on Satan today at an engineering place when they told me there was a guy in the ext street with an F50 .... thinking this was highly unlikely I got the address and drove over to find that there was indeed a red F50 , a yellow 360 and a red 365BB in a most unlikely area.

I'd have taken some pics but the guy seemed very private about his collection but it was very nicely arranged :)

    yes and yes

actually I was doing what Marc suggested after the major but it didn't work so I'll try another tactic of mine ....... the right rear brake click/clacks when the car is slowing down without using the brakes which Marc says is due to the pads moving in the caliper (they do but only half a mill, enough to make the noise)

He said to put a spot weld on the edge of the pad and that should stop it and it did to an extent but still happens when the brake rotors warm up.

I have another cunning plan, I'll put more air into the right rear tyre :p

Most cars since the 80's have "anti-rattle" clips or plates on the calipers or brake pads themselves to stop this JM.

Are they in place? They can wear over time if they are on the caliper and can be replaced. If they have a parts list for the CH brakes somewhere you might be able to find them and replace them.

I have never heard of the spot trick weld Marc suggested, but I think I know what he means.

Just been having a look for you JM, you might be **** out of luck mate. This is a parts list and diagram from Ricambi for the rear 355 CH brakes.

Doesn't look like it lists anything there unfortunately. Does Mike have the same issue with his car? He might be able to help you out with some information or perhaps a trick on how to fix it.

Remember my old Ford Fairlane? Before I got it, someone had removed or lost the rear anti-rattle clips. Each time I pressed the brake pedal, would make the same annoying "clack".

I was lucky and ended up finding 2 pairs at the local wreckers. Put them on and it's been perfect ever since. Have owned that car now for 17 years.

If you have no luck, you might have to come up with your own way as it seems you were thinking of something anyway.

    I don't get a rattle - just squeaking - very irritating

Tried the "Disc brake quiet" - waste of time and effort :(
