I say Ferrari get rid of Kimi and snatched Bottas. Very impressive, he is on my top 5 list of drivers.

I would prefer to see Bianchi instead of Bottas in Scuderia.

Would love to see Bottas at Ferrari one day. But only when they start winning races again.

Probably Bottas prefers to be in a Williams rather than in a Ferrari right now !!

And why would Bottas come to a team that's so lost at sea? I'd say get rid of whoever, and bring back Ross Brawn, stabilize the team, groom the next team leader..

Bottas looks great - perhaps a force to be reckoned with in the future if he gets into a car that's capable of winning championships.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I think bianchi is the future star that Ferrari will be looking too, but I've been saying that for a long time now. However, I also thought Bruno senna would be great, having seen him in some races in a Ferrari where he could almost have stopped for a burger half way round and still beat the field...... How wrong could I have been !

Valtteri taking points away from Lewis is advantageous for the Scuderia.

Bottas training hard to be better driver

Valtteri Bottas says he is working hard to be a better driver in 2018.

After his first season at Mercedes, and having secured another one-year deal for 2018, the Finn is currently training hard in the ice and snow of his home town Nastola.

"I think the balance sheet is a bit up and down for me," he said when asked about 2017.

"There were many good moments but many disappointments as well. Lewis won the title as my teammate so we had a car to do it and he beat me. So I've learned a lot and that's why I'm really looking ahead."

Bottas says he thinks he drove well last year, but needs to improve the "details" and "consistency" throughout a season.

"I think the difficult races were the ones where I learned the most," he said. "I feel last season gave me a lot to work on to be a better person and driver and that's always positive.

"That's why I can't wait for the future," said Bottas.

Pressure is surely on now for Bottas. It will only take a few races to see what he is capable of and what might happen in 19 for him contractually.

Pressure from himself and fans maybe, but no pressure from Merc imo. This season was so smooth for them. They have a clear #1 based on speed and he's a fast #2 who can still win on a good day and brings home the points every weekend for the WCC. No on-track issues, no intra-team drama, Merc are enjoying life. 2019 contract is all but certain.
