Sounds like a reasonable reason to sell. Not sure there's much to this story. They don't use it. No point it letting it sit.

That's what i though. I also read that the specific Falcon is up for sale since 2009. Who knows. Maybe after the Schumi's accident, the family wants to get rid off some ''old stuffs'' and focus to Michael's health progress.

If he gets a little better and wants to do any traveling, they will need an airplane. Although, a Falcon 2000 probably isn't the best airplane for loading a stretcher.

I know there's already a thread on Schumi elsewhere but I didn't start this one so I'll ask anyways. He hit his head while skiing? Helmet or no helmet? Is there any info on what happened exactly?

    The 'real' thread is long and winding. The Cooks version;

Yes he was wearing a helmet. It was simply a terrible piece of bad luck - he was going slowly but got 'catapulted' into a rock when a ski caught another rock. A few inches either way, no issue, he'd have landed in the snow.

No craziness, not even really 'off piste' - the junction between two groomers with a lit bit of powder that looked nice.

    Godspeed Michael,
    Ian

Thank you. Yes, I started digging into that 300 page thread and gave up.

    ;)

I've been with it since day one, and it's responsible for the only times I've been banned!

The only important thing is it seems he's getting better. Slowly, long difficult road ahead etc, but if anyone can, Michael can!

    Cheers,
    Ian

I used to fly a Parapaligic on a G4. It was the only way he could travel. Commercial aviation is not friendly to people with disabilities. God Speed Mr.S.

He's on a very long road of rehab recovery now, even if he gets to stage again that he'll be travelling his jet would've been standing so long it's not worth it to keep it now.

He can always charter if needed.

    :)

I was at Mountain Air at Burnsville, NC, and noticed a gentleman in the local grocery store with a Scuderia Ferrari Team jacket, the official version. It was odd to see that in this small town so we talked. He said he sold Michael his first jet, and they became friends. Turns out this was a personal gift from him. That was a few years ago when things were good...

How did you get him or her up the steps? That couldn't have been fun to do on a regular basis...
