Nico is in a completely different "position" than LH and this is driving his style differences: If the roles were reversed then we might be having a completely different discussion. But I think that because Nico is definitely thinking WDC and not taking silly risks, like LH braking silly hard on cold brakes straight out of the pits on his first lap of 70 something, he has a good chance of taking it out. Well I know who I like to watch racing come hail rain or shine, and you can rest assured it wasn't DC. If I could drive half as good as Hamilton I'd be happy.
LOLO, i guess no one doubts Hammy is a lot better than D.C...but that isn't difficult for most f.1 drivers this days...except pehaps for Chilton and a couple of others....
John Watson, 1983 Grand Prix of the United States West: winner after 22nd in qualifying or Lauda in the same race: 2nd after 23rd in qualifying (both driving for McLaren....)
So you don't think hamilton was driving extra hard considering he was coming from pit lane? He's driving hard because he wants the WDC.
If you count first lap, i can remenber Senna droping from pole to dead last in japan only to go and win the race and the title....that was amazing...Gilles also dropped from near teh front to last after braking his nose and passed everyone ..he was third catching second and run out of fuel last lap...Zolder 79
That's pretty unfair. DC was a good racer in his day. Unless you mean their skill level RIGHT NOW, in which case I would agree.
he was pretty decent i must admit, from time to time he was even in the mix with the top guys but taking in account the cars he drove he should have achieved a lot more....he made too many mistakes and was almost beaten by team mates....even before F.1 he was never a top driver and he only got the williams drive because he was british because Panis and Lamy where milles ahead of him in f3000...
NR does not stand a chance against Lewis on equal machinery experiencing equal reliability. That is a fact, regardless of what fans of one or the other have to say.
Well this is it, Nico is playing the long game with his consistency hoping it will win over in the end. I agree with what your saying but the flip side is, there is more than one way to skin a cat. All I can say is, Merc better get their act to together and insure Hamiltons car does not keep failing otherwise real questions will be asked, and that's not only from the peanut gallery IMO.
That's bs, Nico as beaten hamilton more than once on equal conditions. Depending on the track, supremacy will change hands between them, it was like that last year and keeps on being that way this year.
1) Schumacher - I saw Michael come from dead nuts last place (due penalties for something) to WIN the race! 2) Sena - Saw Ayarton pull of some total Kamikaze driving working his way up from mid pack to win. Both Schumacher and Sena were also dominant in the rain. 3) ?
oh good...I was thinking the same thing. Nico hasn't only won or got pole because Lewis has had bad luck or screwed up.
Send Jean Todt a quick message then...with his green agenda we can stop all the next races from happening and simply give Ham the trophy .
Im not sure what your point is but it was a completely stupid driver error. He should have known that his car will need a lap to properly warm up AND he is in by far the best car on the track so patience was the order of the day ... no need to panic. As was shown he could afford a spin and still get a good result. Pete
