So a question to the forum. In Australia we drive on the left hand side. ( Ie the Steering wheel is on right of car. ). Should i restore this car as it left the factory left hand drive or convert it to right to make driving on Aussie roads more enjoyable and safer. As the car does not have its original motor its not going to win any concourses. Mmmm....conudrum

Ross, excellent work. I see you are getting ready for a new nose. I just finished the same. How are your gutters?

Ross, the gutters are where the hood seal attaches to and they act as "gutters" to divert the water off the front of the car

Some work required but remarkably ok as the car has been a dry climate car for so long. Trial fit front clip today- I'll post some photos soon . I'm loving this resto.

Lovely job you're doing. May I ask what kind of jig is that you're using....self-made or from someone like Celette? Very neat. Best, John in CT (USA)

The new nose is on! Next up is cut the horn vents, turn signals, bumper supports and weld the headlight buckets and rings in. Also we are removing the original lead and adding metal to set the gaps. Paint should start Aug 1.

Ross, the car will be painted the original Metallic Silver with Black interior. I'll using the Glassurit paint- as the metallic is more accurate than the PPG brand

Yes, it does! The cardex states "coupe seats," though the car now has speedster seats. I figured I'd keep them. I guess if I really get bored I can take the seats from my cab, put them in the speedster and then use the speedster seats in the cab ;)

Jay I tried coupe seats ( original to the car ) in my 56 Speedster and could hardly get my legs under the steering wheel when climbing in or out- Id say stick with the speedster seats. Coupe seats also heavy
