Nah, I didn't have 3 phase here so I needed to fit a 240v motor. No issues with the draw on start up, max current draw on start up was 10 amps and 12 amps if the motor was to over load. We fit a 10a breaker in the box and because the hoist in the front yard was temporary, I put a 15a plug on the end of the control box and I just used a 30m long 15a extension lead to run it.
Never ever had this problem and I've had plenty of new pads over the years. With the Mazda 6 diesel turbo I only got 20k out of the front pads because I was having too much fun ... no squealing when car was new or when they were replaced. I did clean that car often but like I said I've never had this issue and would not tolerate it on a road car. Pete
All good man, I replaced the pads 12 months ago in the Wife's Statesman and the old original pads squealed every now and then but it was ok as I used to clean the car every couple of weeks. The new Bendix pads I fitted haven't squealed since. But I still get the hose in there and hose em out every time I was the car. Hit and miss, but it's all good.
Was told similar rubbish for mine which is 3 phase but there is a Molnar conversion kit to change my model hoist to single phase. I bought mine for $1500 from a tyre shop that was closing down and I don't know how anyone works on cars without one
another one bites the dust https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/24558838/ferrari-destroyed-in-crash-in-melbournes-cbd-police-hunt-driver-who-fled-scene/ ok its already been posted .
*#*#*# wish I'd had this info 10 years ago! I remember posting at the time and the the 3 phase being confirmed due to the start up load... Would have saved me a fortune in storage fees over that time... F. F. F... Think I'll add this to the list of things "why wasn't I told earlier!"
If you ever get around to buying one now Kaz, I will pass on the part number for the electric motor that will bolt straight onto it. It's a high quality Teco brand motor. I don't know how much the Molnar conversion kit costs from Molnar, but I can get these motors for $460 trade price. A friend is coming around today to confirm it's the same one he needs for his 4 post Molnar hoist he picked up on days off for $1000.
Thanks Pap, cars are with different people at present and I won'tl be going back to live at my old apartment again... On that note, anyone who's in the market for a 2bed, 2 bath (only 1 LUG BUT it does have height for lift storage of a 308 above a 500!) apartment with 50sq m north facing terrace 100m from the beach - PM me!
Well, even in my advanced years, some firsts still happen. Today is the first day I've ridden in a full blown hail storm. I knew my electric scooter had some good low down torque, but I didn't expect quite THIS much wheel spin. Also...it seems my ski pants aren't waterproof

Blimey, the new Huracan is bloody fast. Car & Driver tested 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds, and 1/4 mile in 10.4 @ 135mph That's quicker than an Aventador
