Selamat Hari Raya bros if anyone's celebrating. The traffic in trunk & B roads were horrific. Just completed 2D1N relatives visiting & body's aching with all the extra seat & clutching time
LjT, if you don't mind, can PM me Ah Fatt's contact as well? Tqvm! Btw, where do you guys get your accesories/ mods from? Any reputable place who has experience with F cars other than NI?
Heard there is a diablo that is collecting rust somewhere in KL. Care to share the location anyone. I am up KL every fortnight for the next 2 months .
i saw a red one on Jalan Tun Razak early this year at a dealer...was stored way back in their store and was literally collecting dust...could be the one you heard about.....asking price was around Rm600k-ish then...the dealer's showroom is on the main road after the National Art's Centre (opposite IJN -Institute Jantung Negara).....
Tel: 0378859628/0126753537 (whatsapp) Sunway Damansara. They have website too so is easy to google & Melvin is the workshop manager. Zen is in charge of Aylezo. He's quite well known in the racing circle & returned from US with several trophies. Hp: 0198181869 MPS alignment (other than the run of the mill, they do almost all supercars, I swear by them & so does all the major car dealers) About Rm200+/- for exotics including 4 wheels balancing. Tel: 0356340939 1 Jln PJS 7/17, Bandar Sunway Oh this reminds me. Couple of years ago, I saw the pair of Diablos in the sheltered backyard of a major car dealer in Ampang. The gold 6.0SE has been sold & there was a red VT. They were not in a hurry to sell, more like collection & dry stored so not exactly rusting back then. It is a common practice to let supercars sit for many years till it's sold & they don't maintain so do expect to re-commission when you buy it especially for re-con cars. Some "new" Ferrrais sit for over 5yrs!
Not the best car to take out on the nation's most important holiday, we had a buffet lunch with the Johor ruler then I took off to visit relatives near Muar & probably lost 10-20% of the clutch lining in the horrific traffic. I did find a sweet driver's spot when we took a detour among kampong roads & it probably lasted no more than 15km. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Mate Would drop by the next time I am up. I am just amazed by the exotics that your country has power
Thanks bro! Was awesome, but I think the A famosa waterpark is much better. Planning to go water rafting soon in Gopeng..
Jon, Does EM have SD tester tool for your 456 back then? Afaik, Naza hasn't got one for ferrari beyond 99 if I m not mistaken. Do you remember how they clear fault codes or read fault codes stored in ECU? I was told that disconnecting battery can erase error codes but again someone said the older model ECUs use hard memory version hence cannot be cleared by this method. Anyone here can provide some input? Regards
Motronic 2.7 clears its codes by disconnecting the battery but i believe yours would be M5.2 which to be honest I'm not too sure about.....are u sure NI doesn't have an SDII reader? it's sold even on Ebay!!! the fault codes can be read by the blinking LEDs on the ECU....plenty of threads here on fchat.....just do a simple search here or on google and shld turn up
you sir, are a man with very hard steel like balls!!! lol......is your left calf visibly bigger and stronger than your right?!!!
Bikz Those cheap scan readers on ebay are for OBD which our cars do not have a socket for it. I am told Ferrari SD testers are very expensive and each tester has its limitation to certain models only. Didn't know you can read led blinking faults on ECU, something new to me. Some say can delete by disconnecting and some say not. Have you tried deleting codes using this method? Have you had your car plugged in the SD before? I just want to know so I know what to do if the mistress decides to give me a surprise CEL
yes the blinking LEDs are the easiest route to read the codes.....you can find plenty of threads here and what each CEL code means can also be googled up......i had my 348 plugged in only once during its PPI done at Ultra-Tune in Glenmarie.....so i suggest you go visit them and ask for a diagnosis......i still can't fathom NI not having the scanner.....so all the 355s , 550s, 456s, 348s etc aren't getting any ECU diagnostics done at NI you mean right?
Just saw that an F458 Speciale edition in Malaysia. On the 458 sub forum..interesting colour combination.
You're probably right Bikz! NI took over business later, so probably they are not equipped with old Ferrari models tester tools, perhaps kaput or whatnot. So all the old Ferraris are done by old skool method, trial and error and ECU reset by battery disconnect. Maybe for SD, can go to Ultra-Tune if they have the right tool to find out what error codes are stored and then have NI to fix the problem . Good information Bikz, thanks.
Hi mate. Yes, they had the SD for my 456 & they also maintain a 458 Challenge car so guess they should be very well equipped. Are you fixing the 550? There's another red 550 with EM couple of months ago when I visited but didn't NI did all the maintenance on your 550? Well, you know old cars especially the 90s as they become older, the CELs always show up every now. Even my '02 BM always turn into "christmas tree"! Some owners will have all the sensors & fuses replaced when they acquire a 90's Ferrari which can be quite a costly affair but it's like buying insurance. The major problem of V12s are always the cooling in our climate so best to upgrade the fans/radiator/pipings/water pump Well bro, an experience not to be repeated again ever. I'm now nursing a backache which extends down my hips due to old back injury so you can say the bl**dy jams broke my back!
