I have one off of my car and I wonder if it's a ferrari part or aftermarket. Is there any marking on these from the factory? I didn't see anything so I wonder. It's not made all that well so it might be a ferrari part. But it looks like the ones posted earlier. In the tailing openings where the bens are at some of the holds are cut to relief and make the bend work.
Just to let you guys know, I bought a OEM Challenge grill yesterday from Eurospares. They stated they purchased all left over Ferrari stock. I should have it in a week or so.
Hi guys - just managed to snag my first F-car - an F355 Berlinetta. I've been reading a ton and am convinced that header/cat induced heat in the engine bay is an issue to manage as best you can with these cars. While I can't find anyone who's done empirical, before-after engine bay temp studies re the Challenge Grill - there's enough anecdotal eveidence to convince me of thier efficacy. Plus - I like the look. "OEM" seems a red herring on these cars - with tons of the "from the factory" parts being already outsourced - so I have no problem with the origin of this part. The original pro-sport grill thread had some interesting, heated debate on the matter - with some folks noting that the Ferrari CG was actually MORE prone to rusting than this one. I cannot verify that in any way though. In any case - if any sort of discount/ group buy come's together - I'm in! Thanks, RK
Guys, Exotic Auto Recycling would not offer a group by on the aftermarket grill. I decided to purchase the OEM grill as posted.
That link goes to 96 or 99. Any idea if either will fit a 95? Sorry I'm just having any luck with their site and the price and being oem sounds very good. Thank you
Best bet is to email Claudio - you can tell him I sent you (perhaps he will give you the same price as me - it was raised right after I made the purchase) [email protected]
LOL I was thinking the same thing. I was looking for one for my 97, but didn't understand which one goes to which.
Thanks Dave, your awfully good at navigating through these 355 waters for many of us here who are still all wet like myself
He shipped next day UPS which sounds crazy but I know from my own business that next day international is actually the best method.
Ok. I'm going to try and make time this weekend but I need to order rivets (ones that need to be drilled out to install)
