"Finest on the Planet". Nonsense, unless it has been judged and awarded 100 points by a renound Ferrari judge and has zero miles. In the pic witht the engine compartment the carpet is a bit askew and the air cleaner cover is missing - probably out getting it's stencil - as that is how the "Finest on the Planet" cars are prepped. It's just another refurbished 308 QV with some mods.

I don't think the air cleaner cover missing in the photo is that big a deal. Also the modifications look pretty reversible, if someone wanted a concours correct car.

I agree this isn't the "finest", so wouldn't have written the ad that way. It may be a very nice 308, but I can immediately think of a very original Euro red/crema/red piping '85 QV with low mileage sold by Autosport Designs a couple of years ago that would be higher on my list, and I'm keeping track only very casually.

The front passenger wheel seems to be missing the center cover that goes over the bolts too. I suspect replacements are not available.

Nice car - don't think you'll recoup the $100K you spent restoring it, but nice car nonetheless.

Car is complete everything is there, airbox was getting its stencil, center cap for front wheel is there. Everything on this car is top notch no expense was spared to make it perfect. Maybe finest on the planet is a bold statement but that's my opinion I have certainly seen my share of 308's both here and abroad. So I think i'm qualified. Anyway, the car is magnificent and well worth an inquiry.

Is that the normal ride height or has it been raised? May be just the angle of the picture. Also, what size wheels and tires?

If it is I would lower it for sure, not liking the height there.

it is sitting a little high, need time for springs to settle down. Word of advice do not powder coat coil springs they take forever to return to proper height. These pics were taken in January, the car is at the correct ride height now.

wheels and tires are stock size, 16 inch with stock tires

The trunk carpeting should be fixed --- not hard to do --- and it looks crappy the way it is.
The "Quattrovalvole" tail badge is missing, the original wheels are gone, the original top is gone, the original steering wheel is gone.....???.

To me these are negatives on a "pristine 308".

Not trying to diss on the car, but most folks would define "finest" as including all the OE, too --- whether or not it is on the car is a matter of taste, of course, but it should at least come with any "top value" classic car, IMHO.

Tough crowd. But not unexpected or undeserved, FChat will tell all... If I were looking for a fully restored QV, I would call Wade for the details on this one. Especially since I haven't seen another one advertised!

Good luck with the sale, Wade.

before throwing a hammer maybe you should ask, trunk carpet is fixed, and QV badge is installed. These pics were taken 6 months ago the car is all done. I have the original top, steering wheel, dizzys, exhaust etc. Ask and ye shall receive.

I think more Armorall on the tires would truly make it THE finest...

LOL, not armorall, that is a product call quick and slick, and it is only shiny like that when first applied. It is bio degradable, and does not sling. Best I have ever used.

Wade, exceptional car. I would argue that it is the best 308 in the world if you want a like-new 308 with all the issues resolved. I have old-original cars that can't be driven as intended. This one could.

Mad respect to you and the owner for building such an incredible car.

Running gear...let us know what has been done. Suspension, brakes, engine..trans...OE, but freshened?
