I have the same problem on the same side. I believe there are cable adjustments.

But I also believe that any repairs to the cab top involve incantations and deal with the devil.

The good news, is I was caught in a downpour and it didn't leak at that spot.

I guess the fact that it did not leak is encouraging, but I would imagine if the rain was being blown into that direction, it would leak.
It seems like there must be some kind of "tensioner" to adjust to make it lay flat, but I don't want to start messing with it without some guidance from someone who has done it before.

Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it?

This happened to my 360 spider as well. The problem is a steel braided cable that pulls the panels tight is most likely broken. My Ferrari dealer sent the car to a local upholstery shop to have it replaced.

Also, to keep this from happening. When closing the top, make sure the rear plastic window bows out. If it bows inward, it will put stress on the top and cause the cable to break.

If anyone has a moment... Can you take a pic of the window "bow-ing out" so I make sure mine is correct?

Thanks for your response. I took it to the dealer and the tech said it was an elastic strap that had gotten fatigued. Is that cable visible or is it inside of the fabric?

And my window does fold outward.

Just watch it as you move the top down. The plastic window should flex outward (toward the back of the car) as it folds.

At the middle or the whole piece?

The cable is inside the fabric. You would have to partially open the top. The Ferrari tech knew exactly where to look for it in my case.

So is your top fixed now? I'm kinda curious that it's just an elastic strap.

Mostly in the middle, but straight across the whole length.

Yes, I agree, it's normally a stretched cable that causes this problem...

Not fixed yet. Will take it in soon since driving seasons almost over. Will report after, but I doubt it's just the strap. When I pulled it tight it did not seem to make a difference. It seems the strap functions to fold that panel out when the topics going up or down.

I have the same problem, on the opposite (passenger) side. Doesn't affect the function of the top or even the watertightness.

I took it to the top convertible shop in the DC area and they said the steel cable appeared to have gotten stretched and would need to be replaced. They tried to adjust it first to no avail. The cables are apparently glued into folds in the material, which means replacing a cable is questionable at best. The whole top could need to be replaced.

I opted to leave it for now but have it on my list of long term repairs if it fails or the rest of the top needs replacing.

I had the same problem. The dealer replaced the cable under warranty.

The cable can be replaced. The new cable has to be threaded through a tunnel in the canvas. It is tricky, but doable. See this thread:

Guys sorry to revive an old thread I noticed my rear plastic window was badly creased (two squared indentations) after leaving the top down during the weekend, after performing a search I followed somebody's advice to apply heat with a blow dryer and it took care of the pimple-like indentations.

But I was checking and my rear window folds/flexes inwards (towards the front of the car) which according to this thread causes excessive stress on a cable and causes the marks on the window (being incorrectly folded)
I applied a little bit of pressure from the inside while putting the top down and it folded outwards (rear of the car) and I just left the top down hoping the correct folding will help fixing the problem.

What should I look for? The technician would know exactly how to adjust the top so it always folds outwards? I don't want to open a can of worms.
    Thanks
P.S. No panels are separated like the OP, I found this thread looking for an answer for the rear plastic window, my only problem is sometimes it folds frontwards

Aside from the cables which tension the fins, there are several elastic bands that align the top to fold properly during opening. These can either become stretched or detached.

Yes I took it to the upholstery specialist and he showed me a couple of straps that are tensioned on the sides of the plastic window, he said those straps job is to contract from the inside while the top is folding down therefore pushing the plastic window to fold outwards.
He said those straps get weak with time and it is always a good idea to "help" the window to fold the right way (by slightly pushing the window) and leave the top down for a little while (and specially if its a hot day) by doing this the window "remembers" the proper way to fold.
It completely makes sense to me, at the end is just plastic, and folding it the right way along with heat will make it "remember"

Cable snapped. The cable is under $200 (what a deal lol) install is about $350-$400 at an independent. The dealer wanted $1100 at one $1300 at the other. Rip off!!

If you move the headliner slightly right above the back of the left front window you will see the snapped cable end.

It is not an elastic cable.. The cable is a metal braded cable like a bicycle cable only a lot more expensive.
