I've certainly scene many CS's without the stripe, but even fewer Scuds stripeless. It seems that Scuds just look right with the stripes. And would it hurt resale value??
    Thoughts??

You know the cars are beautiful sculptures without the stripes. If you go this route you wont miss the stripes at all I would wager. I like the idea of putting whatever stripe color suits my fancy with a removable sticker too! I'll bet I am not the only person who feels this way.

Nope, to me, a Scud isn't a Scud without the stripes. And vinyl stripes don't count. I passed on a Scud because it didn't have OEM painted stripes, but aftermarket vinyl instead.

CS stripes are comical, but the scud looks mean, purposefull and ageless.

I think they both look good and actually I recently saw a scud that had the sticker stripes on and it looked great, unless you looked from 6 inches away or ran your nail over the edge you couldn't even tell. Isn't no stripe with option of putting on a sticker best of both worlds? I think so.

I guess I should chime in on my own thread. I think a Scud needs the stripes! It just fits that brash, nasty mean looking attitude that a Scud is.....
    Thats my.02

I think the acceptance of sticker sheets that protect the car from road debris makes decal stripes ok in my mind. Some guys change wheels often and with the decal stripe you can do this too without taking anything away. IMHO of course

Some folks like san stripe scuds.

Irregardless of personal preference though, the market has determined that san stripe examples go for about $7-10k usd less.

Had a chance to buy a nice one without, but couldn't do it. In the end I'm very glad I chose one with a stripe.

I would buy a scud with no stripe. But only if the price is right.
Does it affect resale value, not really. I mean, you buy it cheap, you may have to sell it cheap. It would sell again if you priced it right. hey, I saw a Yellow scud with stripe who went underneath a school bus still got sold for $165. When you start to think about these kind of cars(Ferrari), it doesn't matter what anybody thinks. IMHO

I like how the stripe comes to a point and draws all the lines in from the car. I bought a striped car and like it.

I was only looking for a car with factory stripes personally. A distinguishing feature of the scud IMO.

Much prefer no stripes, especially on darker colors like black or pozzi.

If I were in the market for a scud, I'd only be looking at stripeless cars.

I prefer Scuds without stripes! The color of mine is grigio sliverstone without stripes. I would be even willing to pay more for a Scud without stripes. But this is my personal opinion. For instance a good friend of mine does it see completely different. He owns a white one with black stripes. With or without stripes; the main thing is it is a Scud. ;)

    WOW!

I guess what this thread shows is why they made the car with stripes and with no stripes as redcaruser says, ITS A SCUD and that's what matters

I prefer the stripes when I bought mine I passed on some better priced cars without stripes and regarding the sticker stripes they are ok until you see the factory stripes they are under several layers of clear and add a real depth to the paint ....
In the end to each their own

The stripes add 15-20hp. At least.
