Why replace it? Just get it flashed, unless it failed.

Who can flash it? I was under the impression the 2000 model couldn't be flashed.

Good move -- you will not be disappointed. Who is going to install it as they will need a SD2? Also did you ever get the intermittent fault light fixed as last time you posted it was in your indie mechanics shop?
    Alan

BTW this is what I gave the mechanic who did mine.

TCU swap sequence is as follows:
    1. Plug in an SD2, and on the parameter page, read the "new closed clutch position" and note it down.
    2. switch off the battery (obvious, i know, but you'll be surprised the amount of times i've seen e.c.u's destroyed if this isn't done!)
    3. Swap it out for the new t.c.u
    4. switch on the battery, switch on the ignition and leave for thirty seconds.
    5. plug in the SD2. On the diagnosis page, write the original closed clutch position figure into it.
    6. Set P.I.S. to around 4.7 to begin with.( this can be played with later to suit)
    7. Now on the diagnosis section of SD2, a FULL cycle test has to be carried out.
    8. Next, under diagnosis section, carry out a self-learn. At this stage, you will probably still see a blank screen.
    9. Switch off the Sd2 and then the ignition. Leave it for thirty seconds, then switch the ignition back on and manually run up and down the gears.
By this time you should see your display working and gears should all be selecting as they should. If it's all o.k they just need to fiddle about getting the P.I.S setting right until the change is quick.

Karl at European Road and Racing will install. Camshaft sensor was broke. It's taken care of now. Got the car back and it's running great.

Thats Great Mike. I ended up buying a brand new CS TCU from Eurospares for around $1700 and It should be with me next week. I am really excited to see the difference from the 1999 360 TCU that I currently have. From reading previous threads it should be a huge difference.I will post something after my first drive.Regards Gary.

Is there anyway to verify if the previous owner of my 360, upgraded the TCU or reflashed it to CS spec?
