If we are speaking of 85596, this F40 was my personal car a number of years ago Ferrari F40 Tipo USA (85596) | Joe Sackey Classics

I bought it from Paul Allen's car guy and the only reason Paul sold it was because the car was too low to get onto his rather large boat (the 288 GTO however had sufficient clearance, and he still has that car today, as he has from new). The F40 was ordered new by Paul, and it was one of the first USA F40s delivered, by John Amette. I took the car and detailed it, made it brand new. I drove it for 2 summers then sold it. It has since had 3 subsequent owners.

I can tell you that when I owned the car the mileage was genuine when I received it from Paul, and it had over 2,400 miles on the clock. I added to that.

Speaking of brand new and low miles, here is my client's Eu F40 in the UK. He has owned it for 15 years and it has 1,200 genuine miles. Utterly impeccable.

    Best,

I have no idea. F40-R indicates 1,300 miles (if that is indeed correct), I just wanted to clarify the mileage at the time I owned it a number of years ago.

good coz it reinforces the previously known/expected price rise, but bad because all costs associated with the car will now rise as well - insurance, parts, labor. and it also becomes more of a target in many ways.

    high quality problem!
I had my f40 insured for what I paid 4 years ago $425. Then I bumped it to 700k. oh well
I think it will be a 5M car in the next 20 yrs

From my perspective anything that signals stability, leveling off, and a general departure from the rapid ascent is a good thing.
