If nothing goes wrong for the merc boys:

    Q:
    Nico
    LH
    Bottas

    R:
    Nico
    LH
    Bottas

Not going to lie...I've put Nico higher because I want him to finish there.

I do think that Williams will be VERY strong here and could actually cause a significant upset. With a bit of luck Bottas might even challenge for his first ever win.

If they improved the front end of the Ferrari Raikkonen might beat Alonso.

At last…! It'a about time we got back to racing and arguing…

Race division 1 - LH for pole and the win. Nico DNF.
    Race division 2 - Alonso 1, Bottas 2.

Ferrari will not to well here due to their significant power and aero deficit. They will need all the Mercs, Red Bulls and Williams to DNF to have a shot at winning IMO...

One sure thing...Hamilton will either be VERY happy or VERY upset at some point during the weekend.

Turn one is tricky. He might end up doing a somersault again...

Massa is so unlucky and S1 (actually the entire first lap) has many ''incident zones'', I haven't my hopes high for the little Brazilian unfortunately!

The only thing the Ferrari smokes this year are its tires unfortunately.

Williams will be awesome here. MB will be tough to beat though. Lewis I give the edge

I'd love nothing more than that to happen but realistically all we can hope for is that he beats alonso this weekend.

I certainly hope so. It will be my birthday this Sunday. I'd like to see the Kimster on the top step :)

    :)

Happy birthday for Sunday regardless. I'm with you on Ice, but TBH I'd be almost as happy if it were Fred at this point....

Turns out I'm going to be (pretty much) out of range of TV technology from Friday thru Monday. Could check in here, but not sure I want to, at least before the I've seen the race. I guess FP & qualy is no big deal these days though. I'll see how it goes. ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

I've had that twice this season now...Suddenly have to be very careful where you visit on the web so as to not get any results!

I'd prefer the Kimster to take the win. At least the team will build the car more around him as well, and not just Fred. Plus, it will be massive confidence booster for him.

I always either download the race or dvr and watch it at night. I completely steer clear of fchat or anything sports related until ive seen the race. I even do this for qualifying but for practice i dont care.

Absolutely; most sources says that there is a probability of light rain during qualy.
Sunday should be dry, even if rain showers cannot be totally excluded (well, it is Spa after all), overcast but with some apparitions of the sun, and very cool for the season (12°c, which is 53 F).
Not good for those whose tyres like warm tarmac...

    Possibly my most favorite track.

Hoping for a great race, with the Merc boys having no walk in the park to win.

Hard racing on a tricky track.

I have been to spa on 2 occasions and it peed down with rain on race and qualifying days,
So it will be sunny with heavy showers, as normal for spa.
Although it's a great place,to watch motor racing.

    +1

Spa and Suzuka are -by far- my 2 favourite tracks. Real drivers' tracks. Mindblowing fast too!
