All...I think I just watched that episode. Is that one where they playfully plug Mr. Mason's book in exchange for Enzo loaner? As I recall, ”The Stig” did the driving, although as I recall, he's got a dark visor, so perhaps could be anyone?...T

Didn't they purposefully hold back the Carrera GT (and I think definitely) the GT2 several years ago (amongst many) to make sure it didn't break their track record??

They either slowed down or didn't give the GT2 the track record though it was coming close.

This was several years ago (of probably many similar instances).

You remember/didn't that happen (probably one of a few)?

Well, you've got that partially correct, Luca Badoer drove as the stig on TG more than once including the F430 and 599GTB. How do I know this? Marc Gene told me.

For example; Piping in Pink Floyd into the Enzo during it's hot lap, even though EVERYONE knows that Enzos don't have stereos. Claiming that Ferrari wouldn't allow it's XX clientele to drive their cars whenever they like, the list goes on and on.

I love Top Gear but I take their facts and numbers with a bucket of salt. Clarkson and co constantly poke fun at it as well, about how ''factual'' they are.

Different drivers, track temps, wind, track conditions all come into play. Now part of the track has been resurfaced and is much faster.

Watch some of the celebrity lap times even...on their ''hot lap'' often you can see they've been driving different cars because the seats change! Their lap timer is a simple stop watch as well, so can easily be over half a second off.

Top Gear is a comedy show that involves cars.
I am so surprised that people take their opinions/lap times so seriously.

While Jay Leno's Garage is a comedian created show that underneath the humor is actually Very serious about car culture.

I have seen some episodes of Jay Leno's garage.
He is comedian and whilst his car videos are not comedic in nature, they are not very insightful either IMO.
His reviews are rather superficial and not comparable to something like EVO road tests, Autosport "Super Tests" or the stuff Chris Harris puts out for example.

Jay Leno's videos and Top Gear are aimed at a general audience that is not necessarily into cars so much.

Funny, I have a feeling this video is a perfect example of the fate of most of these so called hypercars:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2ijKGwL6_A]Problems to bring a bag in the Porsche 918 Spyder !! - YouTube[/ame]

And though in this case it's the 918, we all know it could just as easily been any of them.

All I see are a couple of geniuses trying to fit in the boot a bag that can't fit in there.

Maybe these manufacturers should sell saddlebags for another 100k. They look like they can afford it.

Wow. Did you see the size of the first bag? Idiots. If you need all that crap maybe you should take a different car or hire someone to follow with your bags.

I know that some Enzos were fitted with factory electric windows, such as Schumacher's and a few other people had the same done. I never said that there are no Enzo's with stereos or electric windows. However Nick Mason's (ex) Enzo does not have electric windows nor did it come with a stereo. I have not seen a factory fresh Enzo fitted with a stereo. I know that Zanasi has fitted a couple Enzo's with stereos later on, but I have yet to see a factory fitted Enzo with a stereo. FWIW P. Bachman asked when ordering his Enzo if he could get a stereo and was told no.

I wonder how much cornering performance will be improved on the P1 GTR.
