458 Speciale Spider is coming

I don't think that the red one is a Speciale. The white, yes it is, you can see the fin''s silhouette under the wrap.

 

Looks like a 458 Spider with black Speciale rims. Perhaps far fetched, maybe a camo car serving as a test bed for the new turbo 458M.

 

Was at my dealer today to spec the car.
There are some new options.
- floor in carbon
- fuel filler lid in carbon


No info or price for the new rims. No info about design of the racing stripe. The stripe is half the price of the speciale's Nart stripe.

Delivery will be 03/2015. Private viewing in Maranello 09.04.

What about the front bonet. It looks like a speciale.

Indeed it has not the fin at side of the car and a standard exhaust system.

Just saw this car in Monetery at a preview. Very pretty and very racy looking: new graphics package and wheels are specific to this car, everything else looks very similiar to the coup.
Big weight savings on this version as well as the speciale coup, the floor board or floor matts, if you will, are really trick.. Made out of carbon fiber with rubber dots for traction...cool concept.
The name is yet to be made public, they did say it won't be called the Speciale Spider though.
Yes please, I do want one. Last of the normally aspirated drop top's maybe for my lifetime

I will be in Maranello.
Because we don't know the design and colour of the racing stripe, I can't spec the exterior and interior color. To get the allocation, I ordered nero Daytona with black alcantara and white stitching. After the viewing in Maranello I will finally spec the car.
I thinking of changing alcantara to leather because it is a spider. My spider has so much dust inside after driving topless i fear, alcantara is difficult to clean.
Dealer said, I should stay with alcantara, because he knows no Scuderia or Speciale with leather-interior in Germany.

 

I agree the front bonnet and rims are Speciale, yet front and rear bumpers and exhaust are Italia/Spider. Which is why I purely speculated that it may be a prototype/mule for the new 458M. I'm probably wrong but what else could it be?!.....can't imagine a Speciale/SS buyer saying give me a Speciale/SS but I want to tone it down and look half Speciale half Italia.

It's interesting that people say they're speccing their cars already - down under the dealers don't know allocations or details yet. They don't expect that until after the Maranello viewing. Must be completely different attitude in different markets, which seems a little odd.

 

The car is in Modis, so the dealer can see the details. I can give you price information and options for german market. What we don't know yet, is the design of the stripe and the 2 different rim styles.

 

That would be interesting and appreciated if you could - I'm assuming it's quite a bit more than the Speciale?

 

Have fun in Maranello. Will be there 2 days the coming week, but no preview for me Maybe some sort of prototype driving around.

That the Nart stripe of the speciale. The stripe of the speciale spider will be different. It's half the price of the Nart stripe and will be at the backend from side to side. That is, what the rumor is going.

 

Thanks for that - to put the price in perspective how does the spider price compare with the Speciale coupe price?

 

Speciale coupe is 195.403,36 net and 232.530,00 incl. tax in Euro.
