Briatore told him to go to Renault instead of Williams - he didn't listen and we know how that turned out.
Mario Andretti on Daniel - "Hes been fabulous. I mean, Im sure that he has even surprised himself. He has been consistently quick and doing it very well. Ive been watching some of his overtaking and its just consistently perfect - its really aggressive but really well-calculated. Hes showing a lot of class this year and his character is nice too - always with a smile. He keeps himself very cool and calm and hes doing his things really well. You could tell going in [to Red Bull] that he had nothing to lose because he was certainly not expected to outshine Sebastian. But right from the beginning he took charge and hes still there. Hes one of the special talents that you love to see now and then. Its also a good thing that Red Bulls farm team [Toro Rosso] has produced two worthy talents. I love to see that, when talent is promoted from within."
Starting to enjoy seeing Daniel on the podium! He is a good boy! If you're reading this Daniel........................congrats!

Thinking I may have to update my dream of seeing an Italian driving a Ferrari winning at Monza to being an Aussie driving a Ferrari winning at Monza! Never even imagined such a scenario in the past but in a few years...who knows! Just great to see DR doing so well and being so nice along with it. Cheered up a pretty awful evening for me.
One is a competitive steerer and concours contender with a red 355 Challenge whom is a joy to socialise with... ...then 3 seconds later along comes moretti.
Daniel 101:1 to win the world championship before his win last night, 21:1 today....glad I put a few $$ on him last month anything can happen between now and double points in Abu Dhabi
