    Looks a LOT like a regular helmet with a Google Glass buried inside. I'll be shocked if it doesn't share a significant number of parts.

    Umm sorry,but it's not even usable in Aus - no ADR compliance. Seems this is more a gadget than a safety item. Not sure how much of the 'display' stuff would be a help or a distraction?
    Does anyone remember some years ago on The Inventors a guy had come up with a novel helmet idea (basically the absorbance layer was high density cones rather than just styrofoam as ordinary)? I haven't seen it come to market, but I haven't bought a new helmet recently.

    Oh good....Karen know nothing has decided to comment.

    It is being certified.

    Heads up display is common on lots of top end cars now (and even no so top end)

    It is much less of a distraction than the usual options.

    even more so on a motor bike. Ridden many?

    Quite a few on trial/certification out here at the moment. A couple of guys I know have tried them recently and are very impressed.

    My daily driver for the last 4.5 years has heads up display. It can be configured to show all sorts of stuff; but having speed and navigation directions in line of sight is so much safer.
    When I drive a car without heads up display it almost feels dangerous as you have to take your eyes off the road all the time to view the same information.

    The helmet is an absolute must on a motorcycle IMHO.

    Aircraft have had HUD for 50+ years but I always wondered if it would be useful for cars

    Currently need HUD for the Lexus as points are thin on the ground and a constant reminder about my speed would be great

    OK I accept the consensus seems to be heads up display is good for bikes, but the helmet isn't certified here yet ('being' and 'is' aren't quite the same PP!) AND does anyone know about the 'cone head' helmet and if it's gone into production yet?
